Im in florida for the week and ive noticed two things: Ive only seen three cars older than 2005 the entire time here. One in six drivers have no idea what those dotted lines on the roads mean, drive 10mph slower than the limit, brake erratically, and get extremely angry when there is someone in the way of them merging without using the blinker. If these two things have anything to do with each other, it makes me extremely afraid for how new cars are getting more and more "user friendly".
Last time I was in Florida I saw a Toyota Soarer in a pack of cool cars. Not exactly old but still.
I know it happens, just didnt know that it happens to vehicles the entire time its running. My lifters make noise for 10s average at idle when its cold out and continue to make noise under power until the engine gets to 110f or so
My charger has bad lifter noise when it first starts in the cold for a good solid minute, and then at low rpm range for about twenty minutes after that. I think it's just an annoyance of lifters after a while as they age. It never was that bad last winter with the car.
Nice mirrors and fender flares. Been think'n about picking up a set for my GMT400 but all I've seen that are not built for the newer chevys all make the mirrors point up like this. \|Cabhere|/ and when you stick them on the proper trucks they stay level....
They are factory tow mirrors, I've noticed that with other trucks they like to stick up, I never really took notice with mine but yeah, they are level! I'm sure theres a way to make them sit properly? The front flares were off so I could clearance them so the tires wouldn't hit. I hated them originally, but with the bigger tires and the lift they really work with the truck. I'd like to get rid of the fake bolts and run them smooth though.

Got the 300zx running, replaced the starter in 10 degree snowy ground weather, was awful until my hands went numb, after that it was fine. It only took me about half an hour, most of it was messing with the damn jack, never knew 300zx's were THAT heavy. But I have to say, I threw my camry plates on it, got insurance and drove it around tonight, it has a short throw in it and you have to fucking slam those gears, as well as with no power steering, stiff shifting and stiff steering is a bit intense, specially when it's snowing, but I have to say, it sounds fucking amazing and beautiful, once I wash it and get a set of rims on, I'll post some purdy money shots of her.
Saw a Red Supra Turbo on my way to work yesterday which was pretty awesome. That's the second time I've seen a Supra this month :v:
The rims/camber setup looks like ass and camber is hideous.
the camber is fine but the wheels are too big and sidewall not meaty enough. wheels should only be as big as they need to be to clear your brakes, most of the time stock size or maybe an inch larger looks best [editline]12th February 2016[/editline]
Saw a Red Supra Turbo on my way to work yesterday which was pretty awesome.
The rims/camber setup looks like ass and camber is hideous.
Agreed. It looks like the second it rains, it's going to be useless. Most highly cambered cars are useless in the rain.
It's just 11k because of the fucking oil, but that used to be about 18k. So in other words 100 000 nok. [editline]10th February 2016[/editline] I might be looking in the wrong places though. Got any suggestions?
Still, that is a lot of money. Especially if you want a small car or can deal with a green plate. [editline]12th February 2016[/editline]
[thumb]http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/Lawblind/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpssp8asvgy.jpeg[/thumb] Threw a roll pan on my truck, color matching it tomorrow! Really cleans up the ass end! Masking off and painting the grille too.
I'm so jealous of your trucks. US trucks are really expensive here, and they usually require an extra licence, which costs at least $2300. And then there's the fuel costs.
Ended up with a golf 2009 1.9 automatic because they went over budget. Pretty okay car for a girl.
The amount of scams I've gotten texted about from the Talon add is nuts. Probably 1/3 - 1/2 or so scams. And one "I'll give you $500".. haha no good try. Gotta love Craigslist.
Yeah, i tried to sell my old gaming pc on craigslist, generous as hell price, i got 8 scam replies and one uneducated shmuck who told me he was gonna get a prebuilt gaming pc with a fuckin amd a4 instead. Fuck selling on craigslist.
I prefer Facebook tbh. I mean Norway is a lot smaller though, but we got groups that usually consist of two/three counties that are really tied together for selling just.. regular shit. And then we got groups for car brands and price ranges. It's pretty great because people get called out on their shit, either when a seller is bullshitin the price or a bidder makes a shit bid. Also pretty amazing when someone sells a rice up car, and someone mentions that the test drove it and the clutch was absolutely fucked up, and all the seller replies with is "fuck you" [editline]13th February 2016[/editline] I tried selling by the dinner, kinda like Craigslist, and I got a couple of guys that asked for a lot of info even though all of it was online, and when I was done they said "Yeaah, but it's just for my son/daughter's car so I'm not gonna spend a lot of money on it. I can give you (half of asking price)" Like fuck off. I already offered him two sets of spare tires in addition to the wheels I was selling

http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/cto/5444936623.html There we go!
So excited, I've been working hard and so close to being able to buy a new WRX!

For this area, it would be a borderline 'No lowballin know what i got huehuehuey' kind of price.
Is Craigslist really that bad? I was gonna sell my bike for food but now I'm scared.
http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/rds/cto/5420907913.html Emailed these people, 100 bucks is actually the price. If it has 4 good window switches that's worth the price of admission alone. Looks like a decent base for a chevy swap too. I'm really tempted. If it was the XK6 and not the 12 i'd already be there with a trailer. Curious as to why it's only 100 though. I've seen worse for 800 bucks. My guess is either it's hot, or they need it off the property real quick for some reason. Looking at the tires i'm guessing it's the latter

Hell, a running 420a engine/ trans combo out of the car goes for about $400, a set of OK rims goes for around $200, a clean hatch panel itself goes for about $200, etc. You can't even buy a DSM shell with a blown engine for $500.

If it's something like a Civic, Cavalier, Talon, any kind of nothing fancy car that is just in driving condition, it's anywhere from free to $750. If you look for deals, you can get good vehicles for that cheap (IE i got my '84 K20 diesel for $500, dad got a '66 Galaxie 500 for $300, we had an '01 Isuzu Rodeo for a bit that we paid $300 for) but it's usually the econoboxes and such that are that cheap in running order. Talon parts, they're not too desirable of cars here, the last I saw was in the local junkyard and I believe ended up getting recycled with 99% of the parts on it.
Damn WI has tightwads I guess. Prices there sound like a slice of heaven. Civics that run and drive start around $1500-$2000 here, and talk about a CRX and you're starting at like $2500 unless it's rotten to hell, then it's down to like $1500. It's wild.
I got my accord for 500 bucks. Running and in fairly decent condition not counting the CVs and the seeping head gasket (which I discovered after buying the car). Some people here in america's wang (see: Florida) like to try and get a huge price outta their car but usually price things at 10 to 20% higher then they actually want, letting people "haggle them down" to what they want. Sorry car prices in WI are daft dude.

I have a love hate for american trucks, they're big and powerful, but I like my trucks on the small-er size (odd saying that with my truck haha, it just feels small). Trucks overseas and cool because they're small and light, make wicked sleepers, racers, offroad rigs, versus something big is only really good for hauling stuff and people. I picked up a cowl hood for $450 today! Brand new in the box, I'm gonna make an attempt to paint it tomorrow, but before I do it'd be outside at about -7, should I just take it to a shop or will the cold not be that bad of a problem? It'd be shot outside, but dried inside [thumb]http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/Lawblind/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zps5mggo9sk.jpeg[/thumb] All steel, really nice piece
Hilux, Nissan Navara, VW Amarok, vans that have a flatbed slapped on them, etc.
Is Craigslist really that bad? I was gonna sell my bike for food but now I'm scared.
Just be smart
Took another look at the car today and there is like an "sshhhhh" sound. Here's a video.
My same neighbour that has the 1970(ish) Buick Gran Sport also apparently has a 2003 SL500 with only 18,000 miles on it. Neat. The engine is spotless and the interior looks and smells literally brand new. Never driven in the rain/snow and kept under a tarp in a heated garage when not being used. Apparently he has had a large collection of classic cars ranging from a Barracuda to a C2 Corvette.
