The rims/camber setup looks like ass and camber is hideous.
I'd already prepared for the Facepunch "but i dun like it" bandwagon. I like it. A lot of people like it. It's their car, and your opinion is irrelevant. No point shitting on someone else's preference.
Craigslist is fine. Just know that a deal too good to be true is too good to be true. Common sense will prevent most scams.

Fucking hell why is it so utterly impossible for any modern company to design a car that doesnt suffer from wind buffeting?
Fucking hell why is it so utterly impossible for any modern company to design a car that doesnt suffer from wind buffeting?
Acuras/Hondas usually don't have this problem. I can't actually think of a Honda I've been in that was like every single Chevy I've ever been in. The late 2000's-2012 Malibus could probably rupture a ear drum by opening only the rear windows at like 85.
Fucking hell why is it so utterly impossible for any modern company to design a car that doesnt suffer from wind buffeting?
because we're more aerodynamically minded these days and cars arent bricks anymore
I dont give a shit what my coefficient of drag is, i want to be able to open a window without my ears being beat to death by wind.
Open the windscreen instead
I dont give a shit what my coefficient of drag is, i want to be able to open a window without my ears being beat to death by wind.
Wind deflectors help with that
2door churkee
why? what other car in the past decade still has crank windows

Hell, even Honda Fits seem to have this problem. My Kia Optima and Miata don't buffet though. Was surprised by the Kia actually.

Goodbye Talon you will be missed :( Made a $300 profit on it after fixing all the little niggles, not bad, right what I wanted out of a little something to do. Hope it serves the next owner well.
comanche > all
forward control beats comanche [editline]14th February 2016[/editline] also got the panels beaten out and steering fixed on the beetle. next is getting tires so we can roll it, and then get the engine and drums rebuilt and itll be driveable. fix the floor pans and get some real seats and itll be comfortable, then paint it up and itll be pretty
Picked up the head from the shop doing the 5 Speed swap on the Slaab yesterday. The head is going to a different shop and the plan is to have it machined down by a few thousandths to raise compression. Since I don't want to get into the C900's turbos, I'm trying to make this the best N/A engine it can be.

Camber and stretched tires reduce the performance of a street driven automobile. If you cause a wreck due to your camber and tire stretch, I would expect whomever you hit to be pissed and I would not expect your insurance to cover the damage you caused.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/gkb7iyx.jpg[/t] I took a picture today I wish it wasn't -2 so I could put my roof basket and my mudflaps on it and not freeze to death :v:

If your truck is too tall and you run over a Prius they'd be pissed. If your tint is dark and you back into someone.. pissed. If your cobbled lift kit snaps and caused an accident, pissed. It's all about taking proper care of your car. Stretched tires and camber aren't dangerous if they're done properly.. just like anything else on a car. If that S2000 has been aligned and the tires are pumped up it's safe to drive. Just like a 2000 Suburban or something.. if the brakes and brake lines and tires and ball joints and all that are in good shape, it's safe. If they're worn / close to breaking, then it's not safe, even if it's stock. I've been on modified suspensions since 2006 and haven't had any troubles / dangerous situations from them, and I've been on all sorts of weird rim tire combos from 13" Daytons to 15" stretched rims/tires, to normal 20" low pros.. all have been safe and haven't caused any trouble because I've kept up on maintenance / proper tire pressure.
I went to Cars and Coffee this morning for the first time in something like 3 years. Here are a few of my favorite photos I took of my favorite cars. It's pretty funny that a bog-standard Commodore is enough to draw attention in the states.
So when I got the racecar, I suspended it. Suspending it means you don't have to insure it. But it also means it can't be on public roads. Fair enough! So TURNS OUT, the government REMOVES the suspension after 1 year. They do this without noticing the owner in any way. THEN the same fucking day these motherfuckers send me a fine for 500USD BECAUSE I WASN'T INSURED. FUCK
Fucking hell why is it so utterly impossible for any modern company to design a car that doesnt suffer from wind buffeting?
My car's not that terribly bad with it. It's louder, but it's not completely deafening. My old Freestyle on the other hand was. Course, I also use the windows down 90% of the time and rarely turn my AC on for any reason, so...

In #1, we have a dozen reasons for brakes to fail that don't involve maintanence issues. #2, my stock pickup could practically run over a Prius. #3, i've never been in a vehicle with tints that were not factory. In this one, it's more of shit driving skills and poor modification tastes. The thing with stretch and camber is; you can't really do them properly. Tire and car manufacturers tell you exactly what your car, and their tires, are designed to be mounted on and have for a range for camber. Anything outside of that, and the car handles worse than factory. My car has something like a 1° range for camber spec allowance [0.5 to -0.5] or it's considered out of alignment on the front, on the rear it's meant to be set perfectly at 0°. You can go outside of those specs for the track where it would matter, but the manufacturers tell you those specs for a reason. Anything too far from that, and road performance begins to suffer whether you notice it or not.
You have to insure a car thats not driven on the road? That's fucking stupid
