That's cute.
Is winter in the US a thing that happens just once every ten years or something?
I keep hearing that it's not common and it's usually never that cold, but it seems like this is something that happens once every year, and people are still somehow allowed to drive with summer tires during snow.

I don't mean to be an ass towards you, it just seems odd that this is a problem.
It really all depends on where you live. I had sub zero windchill this weekend, while my grandparents had mid 80s over in Pheonix

Isn't it fucking funny that 12 hours after posting that my fucking exhaust breaks off on my way to work?

Slight upgrade from my Mitsubishi Lancer GLXi (YM97). :v:
My problem was not a vacuum leak. It's the intercooler that broke according to the workshop and they wanted 700 euros to fix it so I said fuck off.

Fucking gross. Glad you at least identified it.
They charged me 650 Euros when they said it was the coils and I needed the car so I said fuck it and just do it. Now they want 700 lol. Feels fishy as fuck.
Have you ever wanted to just cut off a huge chunk off a BMW and then just went ahead and done it?

However this is much worse

So now I'm here, making a new floor piece before I can continue.
No, but you need to have it suspended. Once it's not the system sees it and right away sends you a big fucking fine.
Still complete bullshit. You should have to choose to unsuspend it, I really don't get why they want to deal with you suspending your car every year, instead of just once, and when you unsuspend it.

Christ, I'm worried about cutting a wire a bit short, but you just chop the rear of a car off like it's no biggie.

Gulen the Saab god, how are the 2007 and newer 9-3 Aeros on reliability? I'm looking at cars like this:

Or should I say fuck new cars and replace my Benz with this?:

Dude, they're GM, and garbage. The only good saabs are pre GM intervention or a Saabaru.

Yes, usually the bit between the seat and steering wheel.
My problem was not a vacuum leak. It's the intercooler that broke according to the workshop and they wanted 700 euros to fix it so I said fuck off.
That IS a vacuum leak, dude. Air within the intake tract was escaping. My suggestion of spraying throttle body cleaner around all vacuum lines and intake piping would have revealed the issue. An intercooler can be found on eBay for very cheap and will hold vacuum just fine. Just swap it yourself and save yourself 5/600 dollhairs.
The K&N air filter I ordered for the Fiesta came today but I probably won't be fitting it until this weekend. With my car having a turbo it might make a slight difference but I'm assuming I won't be able to properly feel any difference. I'll maybe wait until my car is out of the factory warranty until I consider a remap on it, at least that way I don't have to worry about any of that shit. Plus it'll give me time to save.
Yes, usually the bit between the seat and steering wheel.
That bit is what's usually the main problem behind almost every single car problem :v:

it's a boost leak, kind of the opposite

Sure, but both boost and vacuum create pressure. One is positive and one is negative, but the same laws apply.

I know that, but my hedge fund manager family friend thinks the only good young persons car is a Toyota, and the rest of my family expects a car to be like a refrigerator. And then when I tell them that Toyotas generally drive poorly and have underdamped suspensions they scoff and say shit like this:
"well they don't catch on fire unlike your car and have airconditioning"
to which I say:
"are you going to pay to have my transmission dropped and resealed? I didn't think so, if you're so concerned, the 17mm wrenches are in my grey tote box right next to the automatic transmission reseal kit and the transmission removal manual"
So basically, my 420SEL pisses fluids out of various places and it wasn't an issue until I started driving 250 miles straight through without stopping in addition to its various electrical faults, shit paint, and damage caused by encounters with mongoloids. Which means that realistically the 420SEL isn't worth fixing and it's time for something to take its place.
Anyway, the only issue with that SLC is a lack of aircon, but that's a curse in the summer, and a blessing anytime since all early MB aircon systems do is piss refrigerant out and kill off 2 MPG. But it makes my friends hate riding in my current car, and girls aren't too fond of it either. Plus the SLC doesn't have a cavernous trunk like my S. But it is a stickshift Euro with decent kms for the year with one of the most bulletproof motors MB ever made. It's also 5.5 hours of highway "oh fuck the transmission is on fire again" driving. Maybe the seller will take my crapper in as a parts car and steal some of the CIS parts for a Porsche 928 (wishful thinking there).

They aren't garbage though, well aside from the 9-3s spring cracking problems, shotty interiors, and lackadaisical automatics. They look better than most Audis, and the ones graced with a 3rd pedal are fun and forgiving.
Man, having a phone with dashcommand on it makes troubleshooting ignition problems so much less annoying.
Would any one know why putting the car in drive or reverse after the engine has warmed up would make it idle hunt (FPR?) Like, it's on the verge of dying at a stop light after driving down the highway for an hour.
Anyway, changed out the motor mount on my Daytona. However, it did this before I changed it too. I hope I don't have to align the engine... These cars... That's a thing, I swear.

Well, my crown vic went and did a really crown vic thing to do.
Leaked coolant into plug wells 2, 3, 6, 7, and 8, and shorted out all the coils. Coil 2 still kinda worked but was on its way out. Im actually kinda surprised it was running and driving functionally on 3.5/8 cylinders. I havent found the leak yet, as its been sitting a week and the intake/heads were dry. I did notice that a hose clamp broke on one of the heater core lines, so Im hoping its that and not the dreaded cracked intake manifold. The cars not gonna move until I rebuild the floorpan, so I got some time to shop around on a whole new set of aftermarket coils that wont explode on their own without anything else going wrong.

All my buddies who are into DSMs decided they want team shirts for when we roll out. Here's what I whipped up. They all seem to like it, any thoughts? Just making sure I'm not missing any really cool ideas.

Might try heat transfer vinyl cut on my plotter this time, instead of screen printing like I usually do for shirts. It'd let me go bigger than 8.5"x11" bits, should be neat.
Here's where my buddy's been dumping pics of all our DSMs, too :)

Strappin down the Talon to drag it home! You can kind of see the rear wheel bent in at this point.. little did we know that 30 minutes later we'd realize that axle broke. Nice.

Once I get my motorcycle fixed up again, Im considering getting a small vinyl that says "Ford support vehicle"
