Aww man, home stuff ain't even that bad. Black is hot, Green is ground and White is common and ground (technically) and for 220V Red is your second 110V line when paired with the black. Outlets and switches use nickel plated screws to signal common and brass for hot. Wire gauge is all solid core and non braided for amp handling and almost everything gets wired up in parallel. That's the basic stuff. I can get a bit more in depth if anyone needs it to be.
Tell my where the break is in the electrical system in my buddy's camper where 2 of the outlets stopped working :v: We'll get it.. when it's warm out.
Why is all of the video audio only in the left channel while the music is in both? Otherwise it was extremely good!
god damnit I should've double checked this!! I have the flu and my right ear is completely clogged, so I can't hear shit on the right side. I totally forgot to double check this. crap!

Sometimes I love generic cheap ass parts, thanks to cheap Chinese cost cutting I can go out and buy "9005 Extension Adapters" The bulb end will only go onto 9005 bulbs but the plug end will go into either 9005 or 9006 since it lacks the centering tabs. I wonder if there would be a market for a 9005 headlight mod upgrade kit. I'd happily sell kits with bulbs where I trimmed 2mm off the top tab then tossed in some harnesses that will plug into your normal 9006 plugs. Autozone sells bulbs I can get on Amazon for $10 for $35, while the harnesses run about a buck a piece or even less if I buy bulk :v: I'd say $20 is pretty damn fair for a REAL 70% increase in lumens which beats shitty HID kits by far and works as intended in a reflector housing. Ergh, Rockauto has 9005 bulbs for as low as $2.10 each. Why has no one done this?
So in between a bunch of other work, the rust repair continues slowly but surely :v: New legs for this... bracket thing. [t]http://puu.sh/ncy76.jpg[/t] Then I got this far on the floor before the welder ran out of gas [t]http://puu.sh/ncy7J.jpg[/t]
I've spent the last couple of days rebuilding the carbs in my Virago and decided to perform a valve adjustment while the carbs were out of the way. It's a 4 valve v-twin, rocker/tappet setup. There are 4 little covers about 2"x4" on each side of each head, with the rocker arm viewable when removed. It has a locking nut and and adjustment screw to raise and lower the contact point of the rocker arm. On the intake valve for the front cylinder, I removed the lock nut completely as there wasn't enough room for my hands and the allen wrench I was using to move the adjustment screw. I got everything in spec, went to put the nut back on.... and dropped it into the head. After cursing vehemently for 5 minutes, I spent another 15 minutes fuming about how if I couldn't fish the little fucker out of there that I'd had to remove the head completely to get the nut out. There wasn't any room to even look in there and see where the nut was hiding, so fishing it out was a long shot, but I grabbed a telescoping magnet and began poking around. Luck was on my side, and I managed to pull that bitch out of the head. I've never been so relieved. I finished the adjustment, capped the rocker arm, and called it a day. I'll do the second cylinder's valves tonight, I didn't even want to look at the bike after that. Here's what the situation looks like: This picture makes it look pretty open, but trust me, I can barely fit my hands anywhere near there. I dropped the nut (circled) right past the rocker arm into the head. Fuck these stupid tappet setups, I loved the bucket/shim setup on my KLR. So much easier to adjust.
I was working with both hands, one touched hot and the other touched ground
Why the hell were you working on a live circuit without proper protection?
Why the hell were you working on a live circuit without proper protection?
I was swapping a bad light switch with a good one that had been left unused in my house, I told my brother to go ahead and turn on the power to the room I had just pulled the switch out of but I forgot that he's an idiot and can't read that one is marked "master bed" and one is marked "living room"
I picked up another truck.... its for work. Its gotta be the most "Farmer john" dodge pickup truck sleeper ever. 1994 12v cummins 5 speed, something funky has been done to it because it fuckin SCREAMS!!!!
I just went outside and sat down in the grass/snow and pondered what I should do with a quantity of money I obtained and decided - that the best thing to with it, is take my Dart and go ahead and finish it instead of buying other cars. I had the thought in my head all day, and as I was doing multiple reps, lifting a mustang, I finally decided that I had made the right decision - I would finish the Dart, since it's sitting in my fucking airplane hangar of a garage getting no love while I just keep buying all these garbage cars. WELL! I've decided enough is enough - no more extra cars, so I dug a huge ditch about the size of an olympic swimming pool using nothing but a common spade, a post-hole digger, and a digging bar - and he-man strength. I drove every single extra truck I own into it, and any and all mustangs that may or may not have been in my posession, leaving me with just the Dart, a large pile of money, and the determination to make it the best it could be. I will make it my sole daily driver, and have decided in order to quit buying trucks I will put a hitch receiver on it, and purchase a 20x20 enclosed trailer to haul all my shit.
Sally, you are like my spirit animal.
I'VE BEEN TRYING TO GET THE DUSTER DONE!!! LOOK [thumb]http://i1067.photobucket.com/albums/u423/Lawblind/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpszlhylnv8.jpeg[/thumb] This was today I dont want to use my big lifted truck for work because we get in a lot of muddy and shity job sites, the tires stick out so my paint would be finished in no time. Duster first, then Dart! I've been trying to clear out other projects.
A duster is not a dart. It's not even the same. Also, you don't want to... get dirt... on your lifted offroad truck... sally, please please please please please don't tell us you are THAT guy.

Ordered Xenon lights for the Daytona on Wednesday, already arrived today. Wow. Changing out 16 year old lights for brand new Xenon sealed beams. Yay! Also putting in 55w fog lights. Had the option of 100w, but I imagine that would melt the housing.

Bigger ones look goofy. The only real solution would be to make a big mudflap that surrounds the wheel a good 4 inches past the flare

why would you want a 7 series in anything but an auto [editline]19th February 2016[/editline] it's just not a car to have manual imo
Thats not a real german license plate
no shit I have to take it off anyway because the fascists here in VA make you have a front plate :(
I like front plates. Makes identification much easier. My university gets pissy if you reverse park, because cars in Florida don't need front plates. However, I hate how most cars look stupid with it. Like the standard mounting points on the S2000: [t]http://i.imgur.com/6b22fK1.jpg[/t]
why would you want a 7 series in anything but an auto [editline]19th February 2016[/editline] it's just not a car to have manual imo
Uhhhhh, because it's a BMW and it's meant to be driven like one? You'd be absolutely amazed at how well a manual transmission transforms the feel of the car. I'm talking 3-5 second improvements at the AutoX with a manual over an auto, especially with the slushbox that came in that generation. To me, a BMW is a performance vehicle, not a luxury car, it's an extremely competent machine that should be driven like one. Plus, those 7-series make absolutely drift missiles due to their long wheelbase and tail happy rear end.
trackday bro [editline]19th February 2016[/editline] 7 series is most definitely a luxury car [editline]19th February 2016[/editline] and weighs almost 2 metric tons
Every car is designed with a rear plate in mind, but virtually none are designed with a front plate in mind so it generally looks awful. My state requires front plates but fuck that—write the ticket.

I'd love to see you take a E38 through an Autocross track.
Opinions, bro. Although, I should take into account that any competitive driving experience you personally have is limited to playing Forza and racing simulators, so I understand your point of view.
