I send entire car cheap.
Pay fuel.
It's already on trailer going to scrap yard. Save it from the claw.

Pics?
major rust inside the right side cylinder bank on my the beetle, can't get the jugs to come off that side, even with a block of wood and a sledgehammer trying to break the pistons free.
if soaking it in atf overnight doesn't work I'm resorting to fire
so I waxed and fixed the balljoints on the bimmer over the weekend..............

and then this happened on the way to work today.
totally my fault but nobody got hurt besides me having a sore neck, other guys jeep needs a new muffler and gas tank but doesn't look like it got hit unless you look under it.
Wet road + sunglare = no bueno. First time ive caused an accident and it feels really shitty.
Ah man that's crummy :(
Who gives a shit about you the Beamer is crippled now I feel so bad for it! cars>people
[sp]Sometimes our highway alert signs say "SUNGLARE POSSIBLE" and I laugh because it's the last thing I'd put on the list of dangerous driving factors. But it is a real risk, and the days I was caught without sunglasses and an inefficient sunvisor, I definitely felt the sketchiness of the situation. Be happy the Takata airbag didn't hurt you! I'm pretty sure those models fall under the range effected at least.[/sp]
that airbag might have hurt me but it went off as it should have. id rather the airbag than slamming my face into the steering wheel. But heres a pic I took on sunday before I put the new control arms on..

Aww fuck man...
Is it totaled?
I almost hit a pedestrian once because of sunglare, I had a green light at an intersection but the sun was on my windshield. I turned left and a pedestrian was walking through the cross walk.
[QUOTE=Strontboer;49794622]Aww fuck man...

Honestly not sure but its a $2000 car with 185k miles that needs a clutch soon so I think im gonna part ways with it.
Make sure you get checked out by a medical professional. Injuries often are suppressed due to adrenaline

Thanks for chiming in officer, you may continue eating your doughnut.

This. Took me almost seven hours to realize my ribs were fucked from my accident before all of a sudden I went 'OMG; I can't breathe... WTF?!' getting ready to head to Myrtle Beach.

Might wanna rephrase that last part.
[editline]ghfghjp[/editline] Or.... did you mean too....
Fixed. Happy?
Was a few months for me before I noticed what ended up being nerve damage in my wrists from bracing the wheel before impact.
I need to barrow a fuel pressure gauge, a vacuum gauge and a new brain.
Both my Suburban and stepdads 4.3 v6 92 Chevy has came down with the sniffles.
I think the Suburban decided to yank off a vacuum line somewhere (same time the transfer case decided it did not want to be in 4x4 anymore) and his pickup has either a bad case of a vacuum leak or a very weird fuel pump issue.
I ENJOY FUEL IN ARMPITS YES I DOOOO
I LIKE MIATAS AND SOOO DO YOUUUUUU
needs to be a vinyl.....cluuuuutch....
How much you wanna bet your fuel pumps are going out

How big and what color, lol.
That is most definitely totaled
So this was the alternator belt I pulled off my Miata

Hohoholy shit
Spent 6 hours putting a stock intake manifold on my Civic. Had to grind and hammer clearance from the oil pan for over 3 hours.

Didn't bother taking any other pictures, I think I cracked it anyways or Bradley is right and the shitty cast manifold part is cracked. I think I should have just sucked it up and bought a shitty ebay header and just dealt with it not fitting right anyways.
Fuck it, I don't smell exhaust anymore and the stock D15B7 downpipe/B-pipe isn't held on by a single nut that's less than finger tight.

Still have 15k and a trip to walmart left in it

not a return trip... but there
Why does my flex pipe leak every winter? I had it replaced last winter and its already doing it again, just not as bad yet. Every time I'm parallel with another car, wall, or metal barrier, the sputtering sound of the leak reflects back.

things get bigger or smaller as they heat up or cool down
I'm still new to car stuff, got into it about 6 months ago and trying to learn more every day. However, I was curious about something. Are those hybrid "sport" transmissions, the ones that go between automatic and manual (with an automatic clutch) really better for sport than a manual? I would imagine a manual would be far superior.

:( RIP She was a nice car

Thanks for the physics refresher Rick. So I can expect that the flex pipe is going to leak every winter, regardless of age or condition?
Why would the flex pipe leak at operating temp in the winter, but not at operating temp in the summer?

Technically a dual clutch automatic transmission is going to be shifting faster, significantly faster, than a traditional 3 pedal manual. We're talking like the blink of an eye for shifting.
However, old style automatic transmissions (almost everything on the road that isn't geared towards performance currently, dual clutch is only just creeping into mainstream) still shift slowly. The addition of these new 'sport shift' automatics where you control the shift point a little more with paddle shifters or popping the shifter forward/back is nothing more than a piece of programming withing the transmission control computer that allows it to rev up quite high, instead of shifting on its own whims. Thusly, just like a manual, you get to wind it up into the power band of the RPM range for more spirited driving. The shifts aren't faster than a manual (unless you suck at driving manual), however the control a manual affords you as far as choosing what RPM range to be in is allowed with them.

I have a related question. Are torque converter transmissions still preferred for straight-line speed, since you never have to come off the gas to shift up?
