I don't know Euro prices, but you can get an 850 or v70 wagon for a good price. Plus, you can get a turbo, which really helps move the brick.
I really like the look of the 240 though
I really like the look of the 240 though
They are quite popular along with 260, might have better luck with 740/760 and 940/960.
They're also rear wheel drive.
If you are gonna go FWD Volvo, then V70.
yea well one of the four new balljoints I put in last year just shit the bed on me. Guess I'll be doing that one over. Again. Probably the source of my clunk too.
God damnit blazer. You have like 60 weeks left before I am ok selling you. 60. Lets get through these with ease.
Balljoints are still covered under warranty. Found the receipt. Going to try my luck tomorrow and see if I can get something in return otherwise they're like $20 anyway
Could a bad/leaky vacuum line to brake booster make my brakes drag and stick? (as well as no power assist)
...That doesn't sound half bad.
If that's the 3.6L, hell yeah. It's no joke.
The engine I'm swapping into my older car is out of a 1998 Dodge Caravan Sport. It's a 3.8L and should sound similar to this.

But an 850 or V70 is much more convenient. Really, imo a turbo is a must on a Volvo wagon. It makes it way more responsive while driving, and a whole lot more enjoyable.

A guy I work with bought a brand new Dodge van and put a new exhaust on it. He floors it when he leaves work and everyone still laughs at him.
2010 xf bullshit.
Most cars I've been around have a hole in the spair tire well or plugs in the truck. Was their anything holding you back from lifting the back of the car, popping one of thoes plugs and snake a puller to the manual latch release inside all trucks? I know time wise it might have been cheaper but Ya gotta do watcha gotta do.
Sold the Civic today :C
I wanna cry, on the way to louisiana saw a 72 mach 1 nose down in a drainage ditch & getting pulled out, looked fucking trashed
Sold the Civic today :C
RIP Civic
How badly can one winter rust things? Really badly. Balljoint castle nut was seized to the joint and would spin the entire joint when you put a wrench on it. Had to break the castle off with a cold chisel.
That joint was replaced in early July last year. Welcome to the salt belt.
Other than that, everything went smooth as butter. Warranty accepted. $0 and an hour of my time.
I had fun today. replaced brake calipers, pads, and rotors.
aaaaaaand bmw rear wheel bearings are the worst shit ever

My biggest fear isn't the parts of my car that the PO neglected, I like those. My biggest fear is the parts he touched
Goddammit. Had to get mt car towed to the mechanic because I'm getting a No Oil Pressure warning, as well as the Check Engine light.
And then a couple hours later my sisters car loses a brake line.
if I didn't have AAA I'd just either drive my car to the nearest mechanic or drive it home for no oil pressure. worst case you're looking at rebuild and my truck needs a rebuild anyway

I have free towing through my insurance. Googling the problem makes it seem that it might just be an O-ring. But it's all very odd because I topped off the oil just that morning.
What's your guy's thoughts on this? I have a GM M90 and I'm wanting to put it on a car that never came with one, but there's no adapter plates unless you custom make them or spend mad dash. Would it be better to use the Ford M90 because it has this?

Already has a plate bolted on that will work. Plus it's shorter. However, I have no idea if the Ford one is better or worse than the GM one.

GM:

The only plate I've seen for adapting the GM one is like $220+ and still needs custom work done to it.
There's one for the M62, but it's not for sale anymore.
dude lol i'm a locksmith and we get calls out to open the doors on 03+ mazda 6 and jag x types (mostly the x type; but the ford mondeo, mazda 6, and x type share the platform) for the doors getting fucking stuck shut. Jaguar has this brilliant idea about making EVERYTHING ELECTRICALLY ACTUATED. So if the door lock actuator dies, you cannot open the door. Manual door lock is electric. Car battery dies, you're fucked. You have to destroy the door card to get the actuator out and force the door open.
I also got called out on a 2010 XF, battery died, keys in trunk.
Jaguar decides to:
Make everything electronic. Owner couldn't open glove compartment to get manual, because electric.
Trunk won't open, only electric.
Can't juice the battery, no jump points under hood... battery in trunk (oh and there's no ground point either, you have to make one.)
No trunk access from back seat (hole in middle)
Basically he got fucked and had to shell out $300 for a key.
Fucking lol.
I heard you can try charging the battery off the starter.
-never mind-
thinking about picking up an 04 Camry for just shy of $5k. 100k miles and no rust. thoughts?
I know it's over bluebook (by about 18%,) but it's in much, much better shape internally than 90% of the other cars I've checked out (which also happen to be in my price range.)
edit: whoops, just got on craigslist and immediately spotted a dozen more promising deals.
Hey guys, I sorta just pop in and out of here to show some car photos lol. Here are some photos I thought you'd guys like (bit of a photo dump incoming)

Hnggggg
Look at all those coats they're wearing. What is it, 75 degrees there?
Those car meet shots was shot in the morning so it was probably around 65F degrees :v:
Also, here's a pic of my car if anyone's interested. It's a '95 SC400. Recently got scraped by somebody on the front bumper :(

Coats...65. You people are crazy.
Coats...65. You people are crazy.
I won't even think about wearing a sweatshirt unless it's under 45f, windy, rainy or I'm going to be outside for multiple hours at the least. Even then the only way I wear a coat is if it's 20f or absolutely pouring.
Buying coats for 65f weather is literally just waste of money, it doesn't even rain in california...
