I don't get why they'd bother to add in a retractable hardtop instead of just going for a coupe. Like the new gen stuff they've done just seems excessive and counter-intuitive against the concept/philosophy of the car! At least the "angry" styling looks great in my opinion.
The ND has honestly only gotten closer to concept/philosophy of the car. A coupe would be the biggest departure in the Miata's lineage thus far. PRHT possible because the NC one was a cash cow. If I could have it my way, they'd make a ragtop, a PRHT, a coupe, and a shooting brake :v:
why you buy rotas :(

Just want to help spread the word for the dude. Don't personally know him but it would devastate me just the same.
Says in the pic it's a GT-ST and that looks correct to me. It also looks pretty fucked up if I'm honest. It's a shame someone stole it regardless. That kind of stuff is infuriating.
Hey guys, shot a few pics of a G35 club in my city last night. With a blend of a couple of other cars as well And here's a little "behind the scenes" shot; my car is just a tripod I guess :v:

Snip. Thought i was on the last page. silly me
Welp, I've been quiet and away for forever, but I finally got new tires after nearly wearing my old ones past the wearbars. Replaced all four with Yokohama Miradas for $79/tire. The steering wheel bobble finally went away with doing so, which is nice having balanced tires finally. How have you guys been?
So I bought that Volvo 960 I was asking about a few days ago. Yes I know the hood wasn't closed right, I closed it for the pictures and I didn't notice until after I finished, I closed it correctly a few minutes later. The latch mechanism on the left is fidgety. Now I have to figure out how I'm going to replace the timing belt.
Where's serj? I have Dart questions

I offered him my AR15 + cash cause I just spent a ton of money on shit I don't need, waiting to hear back from him. Does this look like a good deal? I'll have to park it out front to work on it, can I work on this thing in the street?
Rear QP damage, eh.
So there was a 5 car crash at a local car cruise tonight, followed by two more after that. Nearly went on it as well. Honestly people like this ruin it for everyone, can bet that cops are going to be hunting any jap cars in Perth now
How on earth did they manage to do that?
Guy at front stopped to let a car coming the other way go past as they were turning into a meet point, next three cars stop, Evo doesn't and hits them at full throttle. There's a video on facebook circulating of it at the moment.

Had a real good encounter with a couple officers today. I was driving home from a concert I went to last night and got pulled over by a State Patrol Tahoe. The guy was real nice it seemed like, going over the usual spiel but we has relaxed so I was too. My exhaust has a hole in it after the winter here, so that's why he pulled me over. We chatted about the concert, etc. Then since he was a K9 unit he had the dog circle the car and the dog smelled something, so he flagged it, which meant the Trooper had to search the car. No big deal, I wasn't in a rush. He asked if anything I knew of was in the car, which there wasn't, so he asked if people were smoking at the show, which there were. So he figured maybe there was the smell on my clothes or something. He gave me a pat down and we talked about chinese food (there was a fortune cookie wrapper in my pocket, lol) until a Sheriff showed up, so that there would be 2 of them for safety. Me and the Sheriff hung out while he went through the car and we ended up talking about stereo systems, and it was right about then the Trooper popped my trunk and there's the 15" sub lol. It became a conversation piece and he had us come over so I could tell him how the whole thing was set up in the car. Then it went to the custom pearl paint, then the custom mirrors, then they were wondering what "Sakura Works" was. He noticed I had my Ipod recording inside the car and he said "I notice you're recording this, if you'd like I can send you the dash cam footage from my dash cam, as well?" That was so cool. Like these guys were the 2 best cops, and he was the best State Trooper I've EVER met. So chill. It got brought up that Troopers like to pick on me (and they knew one of the ones who used to before he retired) and they APOLOGIZED for having bad experiences. So down to earth. I told them about the one last fall who said "I'm going to go research this (my fake takeyari exhaust pipes) and if I find it to be illegal in some way I'm going to send you a ticket in the mail" and they both were like "WHAT?! That's crazy." He even saw my little drift charm panda bear and said "poor bear" and when I said the other Trooper didn't like that either he was just like "wow, there's nothing illegal or dangerous about that." Then we chatter about life philosophy and how we're all just trying to do our job so if everyone would be chill and courteous life would be so much better, and we agreed that this was how all the stops should go, and how they're just trying to do their job to keep drugs off the streets so it's cool that I understand. I was like "man, I never guessed I'd be on the side of I39 discussing life philosophy and human interaction with a couple officers today, how wild is that?" And then in the end he gave me an exhaust warning, since they document the reason for each traffic stop and he hands it to me and says "Don't worry, no tickets coming in the mail or anything" :v: Hilarious. I shook their hands and we headed out. 45 minutes total, lol. But I wasn't mad, it was awesome. There's still good cops out there and I ran into 2 of them today. If everyone on the force was like that there wouldn't be so much nonsense in the news, I think. It was this guy! Thumbs up to him http://policecars.tumblr.com/post/69234873616/meet-the-newest-member-of-the-wisconsin-state I have my video.. but I probably won't upload it, pretty boring to listen to 3 guys shoot the shit.

I really need to install my new half shafts. The boots are shredded and the CV joints are getting to be toast. I can hear them making noise at or near full lock. Went to white oak canyon and Graves mountain today to have lunch and on the way out of bumfuck nowhere I spot a red NSX parked in front of the bait shop, then on the way back north tonight, I see a white 4C on the back of a car carrier.

That year had fender extensions on the back, which also look messed up that need to be replaced. If the gas tank is what's making it not run, then you could simply go over there with a gas can, dip the fuel line from the fuel pump into it, and see if it runs. If it doesn't, he's full of shit, and offer $1k for the body. In any case that car looks like a full redo. You can work on it in the street depending on your neighbors. I helped my friend change the intake manifold gasket on his 318 '74 Dart (that I used to own) in the street and no- one cried foul.
The one QP doesn't look that bad. If the car's as solid as it looks I'd probably leave it alone, I don't mind the rat look. Seems like the price is OK, and I was gonna see if it ran by pouring gas into the carb, figuring the fuel lines are probably disintegrating if the gas tank had to be removed to begin with. I didn't notice the fender extensions but the one on the other side definitely looks like it's been messed up too. The interior looks fairly clean from what I can see so I'm counting on that not sucking. I don't think the neighbors would mind, I was just curious about the build of the car. I've worked on cars that I wouldn't wanna work on in the street just because they're such a pain in the ass. Thanks for the help. He didn't want my AR-15 so I'm gonna check in with him in a few paydays and see if he's still got it, then go look at it. If it starts I'm probably gonna buy it.
What an ass. Hopefully the four front cars get their insurance payouts.
insurance company will say they were stopped too close to each other
Where I am they all, minus the front one, would receive a ticket for following too close.
Where I am they all, minus the front one, would receive a ticket for following too close.
If they're hit hard enough, they wouldn't. There's a point when at the legal distance, you will be rammed into the next car. Not only from the force of the hit, but if it's hard enough, your seat will end up breaking - taking your foot off the brakes until you can reposition to hit them again.
