It's a FWD car, an '89 Daytona. But a Jeep Liberty 2.4L bellhousing and a Chevy S10 or Toyota Supra transmission will work for RWD. I'm so confused. Lol. Regardless, turbo power is better than N/A.
Whoops. That guy sounds like he knows what he's talking about then. If that's the case then just get a cast manifold off of a GT and it should be okay.
Hold on. Let me get some part numbers up in this bitch. Crankshafts. 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser GT 04781643AA ; 04884322AA 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser Turbo 04781643AA ; 04884322AA 2005 Dodge Neon SRT-4 04781643AA ; 04884322AA Damn. Must have been cheaper to just use all the same parts than to make a third set of cranks, rods, and what have you. Source
After many iterations, and different designs, I worked with an exhaust shop to come up with an awesome manifold for the new turbo slant. I just finished ceramic coating it as well. I basically cut the entire exhaust heat riser off, except for the back half, which I surfaced on my belt sander to make a flat plane, then I drilled and tapped four holes in it. Then I took that manifold, and a t3 flange over to my favorite exhaust shop who does all the work on my cars. I asked him to make this thingie meet this thingie, and he did. Took him three weeks, but he did it in his spare time, and it's a great piece. He also made a block off plate for the choke riser pocket, it also looks beautiful. I ceramic coated it this morning. Now to go buy some bolts and gaskets. Behold, I call it, the Surge Pipe. That's a bad ass looking manifold. Did you ever list out all the mods you're doing to your leaning tower of power?
You can also just stuff a rag into your intake and skip the thermoquad. It works just as well. [editline]29th March 2016[/editline] I keep trying to get all the California Bay Area facepunchers to build a lemons car with me. I have tabs on a 1998 Mercedes C230 ready to go and it costs $350 which is the price of the overdue registration. That's tons of money left over to add spoilers and shit.
they do the job
That's a bad ass looking manifold. Did you ever list out all the mods you're doing to your leaning tower of power?
So far it's thus, from top to bottom-ish: -Ported and Polished head, possibly going to grind the seats a little. -ARP Head studs -Ringed block -.040 over pistons -Stock 225 connecting rods -Dual roller timing chain -Comp Cam Just a tiny bit more lift than stock -Meladon high volume oil pump -Oil cooler modifications -Remove kickdown rod, install cable shift And some other stuff I can't think of. I'm going for 300rwhp and 18mpg. It should make it.
Does that come stock with an 8.4:1 CR? That thing is going to be sick.
i got an MR2, like it a lot.

Are you gonna stick with the blow-through set up serj? Its probably really limiting what you can get out of that combo. Even finding a 4 barrel manifold could help out
So, blog time. My Pajero ended up blowing up its clutch damper springs, and my friend who was helping me get the gearbox out ended up breaking the rear main seal housing, because we're top notch mechanics. Thus, with no backup car, I have been forced to spend the absolute minimum amount of money on a second 'automobile'. This is what AU$500 looks like in car form. Nissan N13 Pulsar, '88 model, an abomination of a car that was forced to be sold with GM engines because they were also sold as a Holden Astra. The stereo and speakers were ripped out, the entire engine bay is soaked thoroughly in oil, the coolant is a lovely shade of brown, and the drive belts were worn down to rubber bands. The engine itself is a 1.6L OHC Opel engine with throttle body injection, giving this thing about as much acceleration as a golf buggy. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/cjpc6Ey.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/0knQm5n.jpg[/img_thumb] Many of the seals have blown out thanks to the crankcase ventilation being completely blocked, a problem I solved by running a hose from the rocker cover into an oil bottle. The thermostat is stuck open, so the engine runs extremely cold, but that's a good thing - all the coolant hoses are soaked in oil to the point where they would, without a doubt, explode if there was any pressure in them. The timing belt is also very oily and at least 10 years old. I've been topping up the engine oil with whatever I can catch from cars I've been servicing - so far it's taken about a litre of oil a week. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/4uRLlr3.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/T8vTAMI.jpg[/img_thumb] The aircon works, though the compressor is very noisy, and having it on reduces my available horsepower to single digits. Highway driving is frightening. The lack of power steering is frustrating. The dull engine drone and staccato ticking of the leaky exhaust manifold is mind-numbing, and the clutch pedal sounds like it's ready to fall off... ..and I'm stuck with it for another 2 months. What the hell should I do with it once I get my Pajero back on the road?
Does anyone here know a flexible alternative to gopro's? Preferably a system that can used wires and can be set up in a car without having to worry about it again? [editline]30th March 2016[/editline] You'lll still have to swap SD cards though, or you can emtpy them from the USB cables.

Oh man that pulsar is beast, 800 HP at the wheels, absolute fuckin' weapon.
Anyone here use the small solor panels to keep stored vehicles batteries 100% charged? I don't want to run NOCO shit... as its shit.
Even after replacing my ujoints, im still getting some binding noise from my drive shaft.

I always loved the 1st gen ones after a buddy of mine had a "barn find" Montero that ended up blowing up 3 motors. It made it to the dunes for a good 150 mile round trip and a thrash on one rebuild but it just hardly made it home without blowing every seal out of the motor since every single ringland exploded. It was probably one of the most fun things I've ever driven out there.
@Error_404 Just slowly fix small problems on it one by one, what you've listed isnt major, just numerous. Thats if you've got the spare time from your other car. Clean it out, paint some shit idk, fix the first things you notice, maybe after 2 months of fixing small things you can flip it for $1000
Fix one problem, discover 3 more. Continue until you replace the entire vehicle

Even finding a 4 barrel manifold could help out
"Finding" a 4bbl manifold. Well, I know exactly where they are - I just don't justify the $500 to spend for one. I would just as soon cut a 4bbl hole in my current manifold with a 3/4" carb spacer. Blow thru is my joint since I can run an intercooler, and my turbo doesn't have carbon seals for running draw thru. But I always think about it. I think a Holley 390 would be perfect. I actually have a 1bbl manifold sitting around... I think I'll try some stuff...

Daily 4 life
Vibrates quite a bit, and I don't know how much I can trust the engine to stay together. Breakdowns on suburban roads I can handle - the last thing I want is to lose my coolant or timing belt at 110. The Paj I have is a 1991 2nd gen LWB with a 4D56T under the hood. It's pretty nice, but utterly gutless - I need to get a new exhaust made for it as well, something 2.5". It's the car I want to fix up and keep running for as long as I can. This Pulsar, on the other hand, if I can find a CA18DET and an LSD gearbox to stuff under the hood... cheap autocross/rally car?
Audi lifestyle.
My Audi is flawless compared to my Golf3 and Passat.
Friend bought a 92 Accord shitbox for $700. Exhaust is a single...err, was a single.. piece of flex pipe from manifold to muffler. So this is what it looks like now. He has to wait a week and a half before he gets a proper exhaust. Aside from the hoseclamped drink cans, I see nothing objectively wrong with that.
Additionally, I've never seen pink and black battery terminals.... [t]http://i.imgur.com/YYVoo6o.jpg[/t]
It's battery terminal protector. You spray it on to prevent corrosion from happening. It's kind of like a lacquer.

I was at a junkyard in the rain today to try and get replacement hatch struts for the PT. Every single car was missing them except one and I didn't have the right bit for it.
