You are a madman for doing that with carpet at your feet.

Many of the rental complexes here tear out all the carpets if a tenant has lived there at least a year. The lower income ones which are nothing but Section 8 often actually use commercial/office grade flooring throughout even.
I think by law they're supposed to replace carpets after a certain amount of time. Didn't stop my last apartment from charging me $2k to replace the carpets that needed to be replaced anyways.

:wow: it better have been the size of a penthouse suite, otherwise you got ripped off hardcore.
Carpet isn't THAT expensive, nor THAT time consuming.
I should know because my living room, bedroom and auxiliary rooms are carpeted, and total around the size of a average apartment, and I carpeted those myself.
No, they ripped me off.

The guy they pay to do the carpets has some sweet rims on his brand new econoline van though.

Put a pod filter in my Saab today. Jesus christ, it's like I just got a turbo installed, the sound is like a drug. Best sixpack of beer I ever spent.
Anyone dealt with 2012 Hyundai Accent rear caliper issues? My dad just attempted to change the destroyed rear pads (literally fucking separated from the metal backing on one side) and thought the calipers had become sticky? Although at this point, after getting a piston out since it wouldn't go back in, he thinks he goofed and didn't realize the pistons are threaded and must be turned back in.
Only about 56k miles on it, and I've read of other premature wearing on the rear pads with these cars. Seems unlikely the dealer, or most others from what I read, will honor the warranty and cover these. Definitely kinda sucks what the situation has turned in to, potentially.
But currently, since my dad is already exhausted from his attempt, he thinks he'll ignore the calipers and just do what he originally planned to do and replace the pads and the badly scored rotor. Getting ahold of calipers though is difficult and a special order type of item. At least according to the dealership, when he called earlier, was that they basically never fail and they don't even stock them because it's pointless.
My dad figured shit out, no warranty claims atm. Coincidentally, my mom's pads were low as well. Bet all of our fucking pads are low now!

Could one of the Russian guys explain why the Lada Niva has three goddamn shifters.
I understand one's for the transmission, but why the fuck does the transfer case have two??

Oh god. Really?
I read somewhere that the third stick is for the diff lock but I don't think that's correct.
Hmmmm, what's the deal with this nonsense?

the closer one activates a dog clutch which tells me it engages 4wd. I can't see the other one so I bet it's a high/low range shifter
Went to a drag night at PIR, saw lots cool cars...and the English racing Integra. Sadly they just sat in the pits all night.

Last time I went to PIR, we towed a buddy off the track after exploding a diff. He had the genius idea of attaching the tow strap to an A/C line instead of a tow hook. Made it all the way out to the speed bump near the ticket booth and then promptly tore it out of the front of his car through the bottom of the front bumper. :v:
I did see an s10 blazer with a big ass sc with an intake as tall as the roof do a big ass wheelie and run a 9.8, and a 2015 yenko sc camaro that was slow as fuck?
what did it run? new copos should be running 9.5 at slowest
Like 15s. Im not sure the driver knew they were at a drag strip.
unless he either just couldn't hook or was babying it. was it on street tires?
15 seconds is slower than a base model he had to be scared of the thing
They staged like 4 times and I don't think they even broke the tires loose once.
Made a master cylinder delete plate for the duster today because weightreductionyo

(Its an adaptor plate for the new wilwood master cylinder, I finished it later but it looks like an abortion so I may redo it)

I had some spare time so I waxed the back half, really helps the paint pop! It looked brown/green before, now its actually the proper "tawny gold".
I forget if I uploaded a pic before but I dummy fitted the 275/60/r15 (28x10x15 I think) tires on the back too, makes its more muscle-y!!
Had to pull the engine to make dents on the headers, more updates tomorrow!
... One more shot because booty

Lmao, one of bottom ones are High/Low, the other is for 2WD/4WD.
Usually they're combined, so that stick offer 3 or 4 options, HI + 2WD, LOW + 4WD, and so on, depending on the transfer case's and front diffs durability, some don't have HI + 4WD or LOW + 2WD.
But I don't own a offroad vehicle myself, only been helping repairing tractor-like Nissan Patrols and cool school Defenders.
it's not usually a lever to engage 4 wheel drive though, at least not on anything modern enough that nobody has ever called it a traction engine
so I started taking manual driving lesson and im into my 3rd lesson
have you been drilled so intense by a driving instructor that you start to get blurred tunnel vision and cry at the end of it
good thing I wiped my eyes before he turned on the cabin light because it was at night and he didnt see any of it
god damn my muscles are sore all over tensing up 2 hours to get these clutch on point
when my friend recommended me this instructor he said he would be strict but holy shit

Perhaps the closest I came to a stressful experience like that with a manual was when I truly first got to drive one. Was checking out a B7 gen Audi A4, and gave it a try in a parking lot. Really wasn't getting the hang of it like I expected, but when I finally did muster up some confidence, I tried jumping right in to driving down the road to the used dealer. Of course, as soon as I had to turn in to the road, I stalled, and with 3-4 people behind me, I became very flustered. Couldn't even think straight enough to pull the e-brake or anything. Just sort of got out with the car very slowly rolling back and my dad switching seats frantically.
When I got my Miata, thinks went a bit smoother since the clutch is easier, but it still took a few weeks. But yeah, never really had super emotional driving lessons. I suppose I recall slightly more stressful driver's ed lessons, such as going on the highway for the first time, but nothing what you've described.
If you can figure out a way to communicate your confusion or frustration in a way that the instructor doesn't just make things feel worse, perhaps you won't feel so emotional. I mean it's alright to feel embarrassed though. It is very much part of the process. Knowing in your mind what to do but yet physically still not quite doing so is always annoying, but realize sooner than you think shifting should become easier for you.
