slayer, pretty good huh? Wiki says a Civic in this config weighs 1933 lbs!
That seat makes me hugely uncomfortable.
That seat makes me hugely uncomfortable.
yeah! nasty, I would replace the front seats

Wiki says a Civic in this config weighs 1933 lbs!
Absolutely isn't 144k and looks dead on to be a STD, no ebrake console, rear seats. A/C button is strange but it also has DX seats. If it's a STD, the 5spd trans isn't original. If it has a D15B1, it's an STD. Also pull up the passenger side floor carpet and make sure it has a DX ecu, the ECU and a throttle restrictor make the difference between the 76hp STD and the 92hp DX. I'm guessing though this car has been stripped and pieced together. I'd probably bank money that someone paid it past smog too. However 88-89 means proper seatbelts, doors and door panels without the braindead retarded door mounted seatbelts. I think DA/Prelude seats bolt in easier to these things. I know out of state unsmogged cars aren't fun but if you come up near me, the cars are way nicer. My drivers seat looked like this before I convinced a Integra seat into it, worked okay for a year until the tape got all gross and started coming off. Thank Honda for using subpar seat upholstery in these cars. I wish I knew how to drive manual when I looking for a car. As much as I like my Celica, I'm really understanding why someone would want manual transmission after driving it back and forth to college every day. The auto gearbox feels so damn sluggish.
I stopped by a garage sale today, picked up a mustang II emblem, an "R" from a chevrolet emblem, 2 NES zappers, and a pair of big ass horn speakers. Im thinking of hooking one up to the CB/PA in my car, stowing it under the hood and fucking with my friends. I might put the other one in the bus.
They're hella fun if you throw a 5 speed in it. I wish I could keep it but being in college and me only driving the Miata, I'm probably going to have to sell it.
Dont do it man, the crown vic market is nothing but ratty old half wrecked ex-police cumdumpsters and hella overpriced slightly less fucked up ones now. You have a cool one, and that makes it super special.
So I texted him, it is indeed a base. Obviously a trans and cluster swap, making it easy for him to lie about the miles
It absolutely doesn't have 141k, I'd probably bet on more like 241k lol. That car looks worn out as shit but if you want to strip it would be a decent chassis. The odometer also looks like it may have been rolled back on that cluster since the reel seems a little unaligned but it's a 28 year old car. The 4 speed trans is just a 5 speed without a 5th overdrive gear. My Integra's GSR transmission has the same exact ratios for 5th gear as the 4th in my Civic. STD transmissions usually run about $75-100 so they're not a disgustingly bad buy for a super budget car. 5th gear is also entirely useless with a D15, soon as you hit it you're done past like 105mph unless you want to just sit at WOT for no real reason. [editline]14th April 2016[/editline] Actually, I don't see huge oil stains all over the block. It could be a decent mile motor but it should still be a B1 which isn't a big deal. If you want to gauge the miles on the chassis, check the LCA bushings. If they're torn well it's not 140k. The rear trailing arm bushings in these cars are also badly made so if it's totally ruined it's more than 140k since they are failed by then.
After saving up for a long time now, I've finally bought my first car at the age of 22. 2012 Dodge Challenger SXT. Got it for a fair price! 66k miles and one owner for 15k. I'm so fucking happy right now. My face doesn't really show it in the picture...
Alright, bit of an update! I still really love this car. I've had some weird shifting problems so I am going to go to a dealership and have them check the transmission fluid (since there's no easy way to do it myself) and hopefully that will be okay. I also had a weird clicking sound when I went to 93 octane fuel, but it stopped when I switched back to 87. Just wanted to try different fuel grades and see which one was better. Overall, didn't do anything except make the engine tick a little. I also decided to add a couple of modifications to it to my liking which I am really happy about! First off, I added a spoiler: I also added emblems that I found I really like how the emblems complete the look of the car. I would have gotten the "SXT" badges but they looked too rounded and toyish. I wanted a more aggressive look. I know, I know... It's not an SRT. But I've made up for it: Anyways, I'm adding some foglights in the front this weekend and I'll post the results when they are done.
Anyone have any recommendations on obd Bluetooth adapters? Probably gonna order one tonight or tomorrow. http://www.cravenspeed.com/obdii-connector/ Found this one which seems to come recommended, I know there's cheaper ones but I'm not sure I want to go any cheaper, nor do I want to pay $90-$100
I bought 2 of the $10 cheapo ones, no problems. I only bought a second one because I lost the first one.
Bought one of these coming up on two years ago and it's still going strong with daily use.

9-2x!
Since I've been working in the deep part of the city, I've seen some crazy cars. Two Porsche Panamas Three RX-8s Two Tesla P90Ds Saab 900 Corvette C7 Stingray Some type of Alpha Some 1960s Mercedes coupe thing I've only worked there for two days now. Where the hell is all this money coming from?

Still on my quest for a manual car, still finding ratty rides. http://cleveland.craigslist.org/cto/5518422961.html How hard can coil overs be to install?
9-2x!
And it's the Aero too, a proper Saabaru. I see plenty of the linears around me but this is the only Aero I've ever seen in person. Now I'm kinda bummed I bought my legacy instead of going for the Aero I found. :v:
That's a really nice outback.
So, a huge lesson learned today. If you do vehicle repairs use the right fucking materials / not crappy ones. I started tearing down my friend's A4 Audi today to take care of the rust before paint. We were interested in why one side was fairly rusty and one was almost clean. It looked like the paint chipped where the side skirts met the panels, and then let water in.. so we thought. Upon deeper digging I found the inside of the rear quarter panel on the bad side was black, other side was silver. Surprise, it's been in a fairly hefty accident. I knew it had been one, since the front fender had been painted.. but had no idea that the entire rear quarter had been replaced. Every part of the rear quarter where it met the other parts was seam sealed, but it was GARBAGE peeling off and guess what, then it gets water in there and rusts. Ugh, it's really bad, like where the quarter meets the rocker panel it's rotten through and will need to be cut. The entire wheel arch is rusting because quarter folds over the subframe of the car and was then seam sealed.. but not well enough so that folded seam is rusting from the inside out. Then in the back where the bottom of the quarter panel is supposed to be spot welded to the car.. it's not. Just seam sealed, and that failed, so now the rear can just be peeled right off. Then the replacement front fender is rotting where the side skirt cover it up, the failed seam sealer is rusting in the wheel well... and some weird area of the rocker panel is absolutely rotten, so about a 2' section of it including part of the rocker needs to go it looks like. This was supposed to be a quick this, SIGH.
Can someone point me in the right direction for a double-din headunit with bluetooth that has a GUI that doesn't look like complete ass? The Kenwood DDX372BT looks pretty alright, but the controls look a bit too Windows Media Player-ish if you get what I mean.
I kinda want a Ducati Scrambler. I've never operated a motorcycle before. But I really like the classic look on it, and 400ccs means it'd be less easy to kill myself on one.

That can't really be avoided mo matter how safe of a rider you are. [editline]15th April 2016[/editline] And there are some pretty nice 80s japanese standard bikes that have the triumph feel for 1/6th the cost.
the inexperience based things that get you killed will get you killed whether you're on an h2r or a ct70. stuff like locking the front brakes, whiskey throttle, etc. isn't exclusive to big bikes

Yeah most 250s are too gutless to be starter bikes. Maybe if you're a kid or teenager who's never ridden before and has a record of wrecking bicycles.
Why didn't you paint match the bumpers?
I'm gonna "plastidip" the same way the skirts are done, and have two tone.
