Still, you could do the same with a fuse.
Doug is a certified idiot. He had a skyline and never fucking shut up about it. Now he never shuts up about his 2nd rate aston martin
Because not shutting up is the dude's job. Which has very little to do with the veracity or quality of his statements, but the rent still must be paid and sensationalism gets hits.
Still, you could do the same with a fuse.
Not intelligently, and with a fuse yanked, yet activated it'll still throw errors. Which is why it's software disabled in the first place. Just like how you can on some cars disable the EGR so it'll both stay closed, and it wont throw any errors related to the EGR. So don't bitch about a computer being involved, bitch about there's no open standard that doesn't require a costly license for every maker & brand or almost equally costly third-party software.
Wait what? The supercharger intake is the actual ram scoop. The Hellcat's intercooler air intake is through the hollowed amber lens.

How much time did you spend on it, and what did it cost? (If you don't mind me asking) Really fucking impressive job tho
It was an insurance job like 95% of all the jobs I get so I guess it was worth it price wise. I have no idea what it cost, I never saw the papers with the price. I've had it in since the end of february but of course haven't worked non stop on it. It's taken about two weeks roughly.

It was right on the edge of being totalled, but seeing as the frame wasn't touched, they decided it was worth the repair.
So I test drove that Miata with 208k miles today... It runs like a top from what I could tell—but at that mileage, I'd be afraid of failure of all sorts of exotic things. Also it needed a new softtop, had shitty paint, had an open diff, and had zero mods... I think the grass can be greener at that price
I am looking for a job asap and I'll need to buy a car as soon as possible and I'm scared I won't find an aw11 mr2 that is worthy :( I don't want anything else really
I am looking for a job asap and I'll need to buy a car as soon as possible and I'm scared I won't find an aw11 mr2 that is worthy :( I don't want anything else really
Sometimes you have to buy a car you don't really want if you need it to get to work. I think that's why the Toyota Corolla exists actually- just to go to work, but not be a Aw11 Mr2. My only other suggestions would be thus: A: Walk to work, uphill, both ways B: Ride a horse to work, with like a bitchin' sword C: Discover an Aw11 MR2 in a manmade lake - raise it, and rebuild it D: Sail to work in a small dinghy made of paper mache' E: Consider wanting more than just one specific car that is really not that special Also I feel like those Box Mr2's are everywhere. There's no way to not find one. In automotive news, the car show i usually take the Dart to (2 blocks away), is this weekend. The paint is literally peeling off my car in sheets now, and i don't have enough money to paint the car the way I want to, so it's sitting this show out. Now seeing everyone else's classic car they take out every Saturday with brand new looking shiny paint - makes me sad. They probably also have garages too.Big garages - like Mustang Sally, who keeps trying to rub one out on his Chevy - cause he's a Mopar guy.
I'd like to take my new truck to shows some day, but it's in need of a lot of work. Sure, it's a rare truck, but it's rusty and dented.
*wrong thread*
Think of whatever car you end up on buying as the car that gets you to your cherry mr2. You'll probably want a backup car anyways. :v:
So my Volvo threw a Check Engine Light (again) last night, so I ordered a Bluetooth OBD2 adapter that should be here tomorrow. It's probably the same codes that popped up last time and just need to be cleared, but damn if it isn't annoying.

No new noises, smell, feels. Nothing. I'll confirm my suspicions tomorrow (Hell, I could go to AutoZone and get it read, but I don't feel like leaving the house today). And in other news.
It sounds like it hasn't been fucked with, which is rare and desirable. Any car this old will need lots of shit, at least Miata shit is cheap and abundant.
While true, that's awfully high mileage even for a Miata. The interior looks great, but it has steelies instead of stock alloys, those aren't going to be a treat to drive with. The top is completely shot, I'd bet that shocks/struts might be shot, rain rail is probably shot, who knows when the water pump was replaced. I live in Ohio and that's one of the rougher Miata's I've seen for that price. He'd be dumping another $1.5K at least to get it to a decent shape, not including paint, and assuming the engine and drive train doesn't try to grenade itself after 200K+ miles. Danjee if you're a big DIYer and have some disposable income/time to work on it, you could have something actually pretty nice, but otherwise I'd look around some more.
Today the rain stayed away and it was warm enough to go ham outside on the Audi.. I sand blasted and worked on sealing all the exposed metal. I got a small patch in on one of the doors and worked on turning one of the old front fenders into a new rocker panel.. lol. I formed it with a hammer, vice grips, and a brick. It was way, way hood. But it's going to be under the side skirts, so it just needs to be well sealed. Good idea, no fender = larger tire. Track day baby. Leave the rust too, saves some time at the track.

I'm interested in the 70's-80's Hondas and Yamahas (Like a CB350, etc etc), but my biggest problem is that I'm short (5'4" on a good day). Do you guys have any suggestions? I know the biggest thing is "sit on it and find what you like" but as much as I wish there was, there isn't a showroom for 80's bikes. :c
I'd find a conquest with the stock 2.6 or one with a 4g63 in it. There's a few with the 1UZ in them too. Generally they're pretty cheap.

I was looking on my local craigslist and it seems like CX500s are a little scarce, but I'll definitely keep an eye out, I like the 500s. Is there anything else I should look out for? What's the lowest displacement I should go? I'm not looking for anything really fast at all, mostly just something to take on back roads and such. It'l be my first bike (when I was younger I had minibikes, etc so I'm kind of not a stranger to only two wheels) so I'm trying to find something not-massive, partially because of the length of my legs, but also because I figure a lighter bike would probably be much better for a beginner.
