TIL there was a 200SX (yeah, that thing) SE-R with the SR20DE and a viscous LSD
Here's a pretty nice one: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sby/cto/5552228570.html
pretty well-rounded package, would make a nice commuter/work car for me
I can't find any cheap clear bra installers in the bay area, the cheapest so far is 650 for front bumper and half hood, and a guy who quoted me 300 still hasn't responded for some reason
Anyone know someone who is selling a decent BMW 2002 or of any that are for sale? My dad and I are trying to find one as a gift for my his and my mom's 25th anniversary. Preferably green but we're not picky. The only one in my area the dude outright lied about on his craigslist post so we're open to shipping it or taking a road trip.
Got new tires today. And fuck my alignment was way off.
My little brother bought a 2013 Jetta TDI with a manual. He let me drive it too, which went well minus me stalling it about four times since I haven't driven with a manual in a year. Otherwise, I was pretty impressed with that thing. For that "tier" of car, it wasn't horrifically boring to drive and it had plenty of room.
I should start test driving cars this week if all goes well, though I still don't see any dealerships with a Fiesta ST on the lot, which is irritating. I'll have to start making some calls.
Just got a 1995 Suzuki Swift for $250, gonna make a series about it
it's a 3cyl u know

Oh lord, it's like a slightly larger early 90's Suzuki Alto, which were a fun go-cart even with the anemic engine taken into consideration.
Does any one regret not buying a car? I knew I should have bought this. Wanted like $2K for it or something.
Couldn't tell if it was a 225 or a 318.

I've made upwards of 140 horsepower with that motor before, and trust me a metro is terrifyingly quick with more than 120

Very light car.
I'm sketching a new manifold in SolidWorks to have the turbo in pretty concealed location, because the car modification regulations are pretty strict where I live

Doesn't matter what engine.
That is a fucking autobuy if I ever saw one.

I knew a guy with one of these. He put an underdrive pulley on it and while doing so, ran one of the bolts of the gear puller into his timing cover. Lost half a quart of oil just about as soon as he started the car. A fried of mine charged him $100 to fix his mistake. Other than operator error, it was a good car.

A few months later I bought my '07 Charger for 4x as much. Not sure if I won or lost on that. Definitely not as cool though.

Hell, the yellow is even more of a plus.
I would have sat there. Called my father to go get the cash and meet me ASAP.

Try the Pacific Northwest, your steam suggests you're in Maine which is a long god damn way but nothing over here rusts and there's a lot of quirky stuff around on the roads here. Try Portland and Seattle craigslists, the Portland one will pull results as far north as Seattle and South is either Eugene or Roseburg so if you're searching for specific stuff that will pull mostly "nearby results" it's a good start. Portland also has a international airport so should you fly over to check it out flights won't be stupid expensive with a ton of connector flights, ect.

Begged my parents to let me barrow or just cosign a loan, but alas, I must pay for it myself. A few months later I had enough saved up for a down payment on a car. Decided a Charger was a lot more practical an available. Man, if I see another deal like that... Heading straight to the bank and buying the same day.

I want.
Jesus is that shag carpeting?
Dear god, why
440 swap and a CB. Hell yeah. That's awesome.
Just finished installing a backup camera and head unit (pioneer AVH-X2700BS) in my Tacoma. I'm surprised everything went smoothly aside from having to extend the rca cable leading to the camera. (I swear, no one ever considers the extra length needed for a truck.)
I used the metra wiring harness adapter and it was pretty straightforward. I also cut and soldered to the reverse light to power the backup camera.
While I was routing the wires, I discovered an aftermarket alarm system, a busted T-tap and some loose wire leading up to it. No wonder it doesn't work. :v

Check into Autoflex! If you shoot several layers of their clear spray wrap pro, then top coat with their gloss coat it looks just like paint.. no seams, no anything. Then it's still removable if it becomes full of stone chips/ etc and you'll be left with the OEM paint once again. Spray wrap the front bumper, hood, and fenders if they're got a lot of 'leading edges'.
Serj's Audi is almost ready for paint here, too. Spent forever tonight masking it off to jamb it tomorrow. I've got a nice cold (or allergies??) where my nose is running steady, so that'll make wearing a respirator interesting tomorrow.

If all goes well it'll be jambed tomorrow after work, then Monday I'll put the seals back in and shut the doors and trunk and shoot the rest of the car. Then I have Tues/Weds off for a marathon reconstruction hopefully.
