[QUOTE=crazycory65;50259252]Welp, almost got T-boned at an intersection and I wanted inputs if it was my fault or there's, but in my own opinion it was there fault if there were to be a accident
So I was sitting at a light, with a yellow arrow, making a left turn onto a road, waiting for traffic to clear before going, well there is a right yield turn for them going to the same road I am turning on, so a few cars pass and I see 1 more car coming, then they turned on there right blinker about 200-300 feet before the turn doing about 45 (Speed limit) So what I assumed is they seen me, figured to let me know they were turning....nope. I went and well, they almost slammed into me, blaring there horn. So I don't know why they turned on there blinker (Accident I guess?) But still, why blare the horn at me when they are obviously in the wrong (IMO)? I dunno. I was always a firm believer in "Don't trust blinkers" and well, that's why, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS OFF BEFORE :why:[/QUOTE]
Sounds like you didn't have the right of way. Your fault if they had a blinker on or not.

you were turning across traffic and he wasn't. You yield to him, you dun wrong.
yeah that would have been 100% your fault
[editline]5th May 2016[/editline]
actually was the arrow still yellow when you went through? if so all of those cars should have had a red light

[QUOTE=FlandersNed;50258903]And given that it's a 'British' car, things will certainly go wrong.[/QUOTE]
I've owned plenty of cars that take unicorn parts and usually just replace whatever broke with chevy stuff
for the rolls in particular I'd like to buy it, drop it on a truck frame, and part out the original drivetrain and suspension

my dream car
[editline]5th May 2016[/editline]
I'm thinking turbo diesel too. stick the exhaust out the port side front wheel well, spitting black smoke everywhere
[editline]5th May 2016[/editline]
I'll name it the "rolls coal"
[editline]5th May 2016[/editline]
or the coals royce
[editline]5th May 2016[/editline]
god I wish I could fit 10 letters on a vanity plate
I think they mean a flashing yellow, which wouldnt change anything
ok yeah if it was a flashing yellow it was super his fault
Yeah I understand if there was an accident, but he turned on his blinker, like man come on D:
1 day shy of 3 weeks

didn't realize how clean my buddies GT was until we started ripping into it on the plus side the interior save for the dash is out (which is getting replaced with an aluminum piece from scott rod fabrication) also managed to pull the engine/trans (351 stroker backed by a TKO 500) that'll go into something.....eventually. also ordered a snow performance stage 3 kit should be interesting to see what it will do with that F2. now other than pulling the engine out of the '11 we're just waiting on parts

Just absolutely disgusting. May fix the power steering pump tomorrow then insure it to have some fun for a few days
My diesel keeps having fuel line air leak issues. Twice, bad enough to need to rebleed the system.
I either have to repair the OEM setup, which is complicated and known to leak even new; or spend $100 on a NAPA setup that lacks a WIF sensor, heater, etc.
I do still have to do the water pump and harmonic balancer, probably the front main while its apart, and belts, and other things i cant afford.

how in gods name does one get so much dog hair in a vehicle the carpet in the thing was 95% dog...
[QUOTE=butre;50259906]for the rolls in particular I'd like to buy it, drop it on a truck frame, and part out the original drivetrain and suspension[/QUOTE]
Personally I'd drop in on a Land Rover Defender frame, just to keep it as Britbong as possible.
Gonna need a third-party engine though.

I had air intrusion problems on my 7.3 idi for a while, bit it cleared up after i replaced the injector caps, return lines, and plugged the return line back to the fuel filter. From what it sounds like, yours (gm 6.5, right?) Is a bit more complicated.

that would increase the cost of the whole project by a whole zero. I'm going american or japanese, the parts are way cheaper.
[editline]5th May 2016[/editline]
also the wheelbase of a defender is like 2 and a half feet shorter that's not going to work
[editline]5th May 2016[/editline]
a '97-'02 F150 short bed regular cab has a wheelbase that's a fifth of an inch longer, so that's probably what I'm going to use.
[editline]5th May 2016[/editline]
or an longbed comanche is dead on the same wheelbase
[editline]5th May 2016[/editline]
like a silver shadow is about 7 grand, a 10th gen f150 4x4 or a comanche are both like 5 grand.
the cheapest defender that popped up on craigslist is being sold for 50 grand, the other two they want 80 for

Mine is the 6.2 GM/ Detroit.
It is fairly simple, just some parts were ahead of their time and didn't age well.
The filter base has a fuel heater, a water tester, as well as a vacuum gauge to test the flow rate built in. You've also got an input line, output line, and a bleeder port + line.
I really like it, but it's a pain to figure out what part is letting air in.
Converting to a NAPA base would make it only have an input and output. Then, I can add a few things to it (primer bulb, bleeder after bulb, etc).
How hard is it to convert from drums to disk?
[QUOTE=crazycory65;50264453]How hard is it to convert from drums to disk?[/QUOTE]
you buy a kit and throw it on

hah. The stock fuel heater on mine was so infamously useless that when the shop put the remanned 7.3 in my truck, they never even bothered to add the wiring for it.
[QUOTE=crazycory65;50264453]How hard is it to convert from drums to disk?[/QUOTE]
Depends 99% on the vehicle.
My AWD Impreza; other models had rear disks. You'd want the hub, disk, caliper, brake lines, parking brake cables, master cylinder and proportioning valve.
My diesel; newer trucks had rear disks. The easiest would be to swap the entire rear axle, then just deal with the master cylinder and proportioning valve + parking cables.

I don't know how good/bad the one on the 6.2 is. I run power service during the mild winters here anyways, so I wouldn't need it.
The WIF and vacuum sensor ; the filter I'm looking into is a fuel + water separator with drain valve, it'd take care of it. I change filters fairly often, so it's unlikely I'd have too much trouble with it.
The setup I have planned is; before the filter, a priming bulb. Then, filter itself. After the filter, a ball valve with bleeder bypass. This should make it 20x easier to prime the system.
Alright guys, I need your help.
I've been looking at buying a new car for a couple of months and I was pretty set on the Gen3 MR2. But, I've just been offered a completely unmolested Nissan 200sx (RS13U) in slate grey. I'm so torn between the two, but I'm thinking that the 200sx sounds more fun because choo-choo.
Any advice?

At first glance the thumb-nail made me think that Ram's have insane seat adjustment or that you have freakishly long legs and arms.
You better get rid of that avatar if you aint planning to get a classic Audi.
I'd get the nissin. Prices are gonna keep going up the more get sent into a wall at a drift event.

Hah haaaaaah, it works. I need 2 stroke advice though. Even after getting the carb set right, it doesn't have the guts to get up to the top of the RPM range, which sucks because I'm pretty sure I'm not even in the power band. Would adding an expansion chamber give a little more mid range torque, or should I just find a way to lower the gear ratio?

It's a 36cc craftsman motor

Is it not really unbalanced to ride?
Also, does the engine have a governor on it?
[QUOTE=Croninberg;50268429]Is it not really unbalanced to ride?

It doesn't sit on the kickstand very well, but when you're riding it you can't tell.
Idk if it's governed or not, but I can tell you it will never run as fast engaged to the wheel as it does disengaged.
RIP Beetle
Total engine failure
Shit, that sucks. At least beetle motors are somewhat cheap and easy to swap.

[editline]herp[/editline]
Or fullretard and nick a South African T3 bellhousing and smack in a inline engine, extra bonus if it's a Diesel.
