Real bullets hurt more.
ugh why wouldn't they supply helmets when a shot to the eye could blind you.
Everytime I used to go you had to have your own, or else they wouldn't let you play.
Everytime I used to go you had to have your own, or else they wouldn't let you play.
ok fair enough I thought you meant that you could play without if you wanted. My bad
Go bare chested like the real men do (my back at the end of the day)
Shit, ive just realised that i only have a flimsy topman hoody to wear :/ ( paintballing is tomorow?) Fuck i need help, any more fallbacks?
wear a couple of T-Shirts and two jumpers. maybe the paintball centre will offer overall hire but if not just wear extra layers, you'll be ok.
Honestly, It's not bad at all. In fact, if you're wearing a full face mask like the one posted above, getting hit in the face does not hurt at all. You won't even feel it. I was playing and all of a sudden my vision was blocked by paint. I did not feel it and only heard a "thump" from when it hit. Getting hit on the body is not that painful because you're pumped full of adrenaline. Don't focus on getting hit so much as to hitting the other person.
i have been paint balling twice here in the uk the most recent one me and seven other mates went to one called delta force, i had my helmet and overalls on and the only thing showing was my neck and i get shot there twice and it does sting for a bit but then it goes(it will leave a bruise tho.
hey I went to Delta Force too it's awesome isn't it
Wear gloves. If its cold out, getting hit in the fingers is the worst place to get hit, believe me. I found that out the hard way...
I'm going now, ill report back tomorow. Thats if i dont die. :3:
Wear gloves. The winter kind. The thick kind.
Laughing at all the young people going in this thread that think paintballing is almost like real gunfire.
Watch for wiping. Paintball seems to be full of people who'd rather cheat than play fair.
It hurts like a punch (as long as your wearing relatively thick clothes) and it pushes you back if you're not expecting it. I didn't get any big bruises when I did it.
Boy, this is what Paintball looks like if haven't seen it yet.
wear gloves. First one hurts, but that's about it. It's great fun. I hardly ever get hit and I usually take a lot of people down :D
To help, here is a list of the degrees of pain faced during paintball, based on ranges: Long range (assuming that most of the guns you're facing are those owned by the site, which tend to be of lower quality due to usage, this is about 40-50 metres): You'll feel something, but no real pain. Enough to let you know that you've been hit. Medium range (20-30 metres): Mild stinging, wears off very quickly. Unless you have a very low pain tolerance, shouldn't be an issue. Close range (10 metres): Now we get to actual pain. Stings like hell for a minute or two, enough to have you swearing under your breath for most of that time. No lasting damage. Generally unlikely to happen, as it requires the enemy to get that close without being hit in the first place. Extreme close range (<5 metres): Technically shouldn't be done, as it is extremely painful and somewhat dangerous. Most people have the common courtesy not to do it. If someone is a big enough arsehole to try it, apply CO2 canister to head.
It really doesn't hurt at all unless some asshole shoots you point blank.
Protip when storming bunkers/rooms/general close quarters: Don't do it alone, and when you go in, shout like a crazy mother fucker. Shock tactics win, every time.
Protip: Do not use the "Surrender!" rule when storming any sort of building. I ran into a shack yelling surrender to find 6 people pointing guns at me, I still don't think I've gotten over the pain.
Don't listen to these pussies, all you really need is a helmet and goggles. The first time I went paintballing I only wore a helmet, goggles, a pair of shorts and a loose t-shirt. And yeah, getting shot point blank is an assholish move; don't do it unless someone does it to you first.
It hurts. Stop being a wuss, i played it for the first time when i were 11.
And it gave you drain bamage? :downs:
Hell yeah!
I got a scar that lasted a few years from being hit by a paintball at point blank range, so yeah, it hurts. It's fun though.
Protip: Do not use the "Surrender!" rule when storming any sort of building. I ran into a shack yelling surrender to find 6 people pointing guns at me, I still don't think I've gotten over the pain.
Yeah obviously, nobody pays attention to surrender rules, but this it to stop them from shooting you back, after you've shot them. They're in pain and hopefully disorientated after being yelled at by 3 angry guys spitting paint-death everywhere.
Paintballing is awesome.
Protip: People often are on the edge of pants-pissing terror while playing paintball. Use this to advantage. For this trick, you'll need 1 friend, 1 rock, and a building you need to take. Have your friend position themselves next to the door. Position yourself near a window (one large enough to allow for your gun to be stuck in) as far away from the door as possible. Then, in one swift motion, have your friend open the door and toss the rock in. Generally you will hear quite a few shots ringing out now, but no matter. Immediately stand up, stick your gun in the window, and start pulling the trigger. Do not stop until you are absolutely sure everyone inside is 'dead' or you have been shot.
Extreme close range (<5 metres): Most people have the common courtesy not to do it.
PROTIP: People do this anyway. It will bruise you badly.
The very first time I went I was 10, I got shot right in the adams apple the very first time I got hit. Man up, sure you're a little shocked the first time if you have no clue where it came from but it doesn't kill. Ofcourse I have a very high threshold for pain.
