Am I the only one that got lucky and didn't get hit on my body at all on my first and only time playing? The only time where I did get hit it was only on my eye protection gear, felt nothing but couldn't see well.
I really wanna do something like this: But then I still need to wait one year, you gotta be 18 here. Fucking germany, you can drink beer and wine with 16, even do your drivers license with 17 and you need to be 18 for paintball. :wtc: Anyways, one day... Fuck yeah!
I went up in Queensland, fucking terrific fun, I fucking shot a guy in his middle finger as he stuck it up at me, he was around 35 meters away or something. Got the "Sniper" ribbon.
Everyone seems to agree that it hurts, except it didn't hurt at all when I played. I was using a rental gun and all, and some guys that were playing xball were missing a team member so they asked me to go just to be a body on the field. I got hit quite a bit with some high quality markers and it felt like someone was flicking me firmly. Didn't give me welts or anything like that. I do have some meat on my bones though. A lot of kids I see that get welts and stuff are skinny as fuck, it doesn't surprise me since their skin is being slammed between a paintball and bone with no padding in between. EDIT: I was wearing a T-shirt and shorts.
only hurts for a sec.
only hurts for a sec.
Not if you get shot in the head or the balls. [editline]12:08AM[/editline]
Who doesn't wear a mask when playing paintball? That's like the dumbest thing you can do.
They wouldn't even let you on the field without a mask. In fact most, if not all places will kick you out if you play irresponsibly.
First time I went, the rule were that if you were out of paint balls or got hit, you had to run to the side of the field with your hands in the air so people know you are out and to not shoot you. Game 1: Team A had to hide behind some play structure and team B had to advance through the field while hiding behind pieces of play structure and shooting us. From horrible aim and general trigger-happiness, I ran out quickly and had to run off. Just as I stood up with my hands in the air, some guy shot me right in the armpit (wearing a t-shirt) from maybe 8 feet away. Hurt like a bitch, and I got a really bad welt. Game 2: On Team A again, hiding behind a plastic grate in the play structure, I hit a few guys, but then someone saw me and shot me right in the fucking finger, goddamn it hurt like hell. There was pieces of rubber embedded in my finger D: but yeah, this thread is old
You know those guns with the dual hair triggers that shoot thousands of bulets a minute? Yea, accidently stuck the nozzle in mud, go to clean it, had my finger on the trigger and blam MASSIVE blood blsiter. Shit staang.

Needless to say neither I or the ref was impressed so he let me take a few shots at the culprit once the match was over.
I was playing a quick game of speedball, the moment I got up to walk off after being hit once I got hit by two paintballs on my right ass cheek.
#1 on your checklist: Make sure EVERYTHING is in the cup... Everything. Got my sack pinched the first time I went.
That is too funny.
I've only been once to delta force in the UK for my friends birthday party. T'was shot 6 times in the arse [editline]10:24AM[/editline]
inb4 airsoft>paintball
clocks.
#1 on your checklist: Make sure EVERYTHING is in the cup... Everything. Got my sack pinched the first time I went.
Real men don't wear a cup.
God, Bump much on this thread? [editline]08:19PM[/editline] :v:
It doesn't hurt much, your adrenaline will be pumping and most likely when you get hit you won't be expecting it. You feel a string like someone flicking you with a huge rubber band and that's it really. It's worse when you're anticipating it, like when you're a marshall so don't aim for those guys they got shot enough accidentally as it is :P Stick your hand straight up in the air and confidently step out of your barricade, trust me you get nailed more if the person isn't aware they hit you. Also don't waste all your paintballs making long shots, it suprising how bad people's accuracy is their reactions sometimes. You can make lots of short bumps up the field to a position where you are close with an angle and start picking people off, if you want to skalp some people get up nice and close :P You don't need a cup, wear some baggy jeans undernearth the overalls. The only time I've taken one in the nuts and it hurt like hell was a rubber paintball from about 10ft away :P
I am going for the first time next weekend after buying some second hand stuff. Should be pretty fun.
Paint balling is great fun, but the mask can get pretty uncomfortable and on a hot day you'll be sweating buckets. Last time I went I got up to run, expecting my friend to cover me, turns out he had a jam, so I'm in the open. The guy shooting at us thought it was his lucky day and emptied half a hopper towards me. I felt about 5 balls hit me. I scramble back behind cover, and check myself over. The guy who shot me shouts "Hey mate! I shot you, you're out!", but I reply, "No I'm not, it didn't burst, just hurts like fuck!". The guy starts laughing only to start swearing when my friend shoots him after unblocking his gun. Some tips: If you get the chance to upgrade your gun take it, they are usually a lot more accurate.(at Delta Force they have an M16 look-a-like which is pretty good) Wear bicycle gloves or similar. It hurts when it hits the back of your hands. Also useful for crawling around in the mud. Holding your hand in front of the cocking lever (a little piece of metal sticking out of the top of your gun) will stop the lever going back therefore you can fire fully automatic. This hurts a bit as a piece of metal flies into the back of your hands, but with gloves its all right. Aim the gun away from people unjamming it, it hurts to shoot yourself point blank as you push the ball into the chamber, and I have almost shot team mates multiple times while unjamming my gun.
i hate when those "Weasels!" (as i call them) sneak up behind you and shoot all of your team like some sort of super Spy with no cloak.
It really doesnt hurt that much. The only real pain i got was when i got hit in the bottom of the spine and in the thigh. Around 10 seconds of pain and a tiny bruise the next day. Didn't stop me goin the next week for another party.

The first time I played I got shot in the wrist, broke quite a few blood vessels and my wrist swelled and turned purple. It was lots of fun, though.
I would love to go paintballing sometime. The only thing I don't like is the way the weapons look. It just ruins the whole war feel of it for me.
I'm going Paintballing with my college next week as part of my course, time to show off my mad skills :D
Paintballing is great, going for the second time soon hopefully. Now my paintballing story...My gun broke so I put my hands up and the marshal stopped everybody. I walked right past the other team kinda nervous but I didn't get a shot luckily. It was only on the way back with a new gun that my mates dad who we went with turned around, oblivious to the fact that the whole place had stopped firing and shouted "Quick shot him before he gets the bell!" (We were defending a bell tower from the other steam) and empties about 20 shots at me. Luckily he was a crap shot and hit me a few times!
Fuck, I'm 18 and have never played Paintball, I don't know about any Paintballing anywhere nearby..
If you get shot in the ass then a gigantic poo log will slide out your anus. So don't get shot in the ass. Just to be serious. My friend plays paint ball and he uses a ballistic see through shield when playing. My older sister ran in with a tank top on and did surprisingly well too. Just don't deck out on kevlar.

Shit staang.
Dual hair triggers that shoot thousands of "Bullets" per minute? PSP Ramp cap is locked between 10 and 13 bps. If they are on straight semi at best they can hit 15 bps. So at best 900 per minute. Considering almost all hoppers hold 200-210 Paintballs you couldn't possibly hit 900 a minute. And besides shooting more per second doesnt make it hurt less if you shoot yourself once in the finger anyways. Please don't call them bullets. It is bad for the sport's image.

Same length and weight as the real thing. [editline]09:43PM[/editline] The picture is missing the fire mode selector switch which acts as a second safety.
