It's 15 isn't it?
It's 15 isn't it?
It's like... 14 in South Australia, 16 in New South Wales, Queensland and maybe Western Australia. You have to be 18 in Victoria though.
I'm probably wrong on some of those though.
Nah your right about Victoria. Im stuck with shitty laser wars for the time being :saddowns: Although I hear theres a really awesome outdoor laser skirmish place about an hour and a half outside of Melbourne. I should check it out.

Sucks to be you guys. You used to be able to play paintball in Vic at the age of 12 as long as you had a junior shooter's license and were under supervision from a licensed shooter.
Oh well, I guess you can still run out and shoot the local wildlife or something.
Paintball is lame and expensive.
Hardcore Airsoft is where it's at.
This man speaks the truth.
It's 16 in Sweden.
I paintballed when I was 12 in Ireland :buddy:

its not a law it depends on the place where you paintball
Jeez I never knew about the age restrictions on Paintballing, I've been paintballing since I was like 12.
[editline]09:57AM[/editline]
This is in the UK by the way.
Age restriction only really applies when there is no parent or guardian present to give consent. No sane field would let a 12 year old play if they didn't have their parent sign the waiver.
Freeze the paintballs. They will be really hard and it will hurt really, really much.
Don't wear a helmet when you play it'll only slow you down and if you throw out some paintballs it lowers your weight so you can carry more artifacts
The first time I played paint ball, this fat ass kid bum rushed to a bunker and I didn't see him. So I ran there expecting to get a few shots, the bastard literally see me and shoots me point blank 3 times. One in the face, second in the chest, and third in the thigh, the last one almost hit my nuts.
So basically, watch out for fat kids, their evil. :byodood:

You cant freeze them they just go more brittle, pros refrigerate there boxes of paint so that they will break easier on the other player.
For some odd reason, every time I get hit by a paintball it doesn't break, so I am sitting there looking for paint on me where it stings.
It's the fat protection.
I wish I could paintball more often, too damn expensive.

My mistake then.
Also for the OP, have fun!
I'm confused, people are giving tips and advice to the op for paint-balling when he went IN NOVEMBER?!
Paintball is fucking awesome, and no, I do NOT suggest freezing/refrigerating the the paintballs because they end up blowing up in your own weapon, clogging up the barrel and make your accuracy go down the shitter.
I go paintballing every week or two weeks, depending on weather and schedules. We go to a forest nearby, has some nice areas to shoot at each other.
There's no real age limit to it, at least not in Finland. Reccommended age is around 12 years old or higher though, mainly because of the pain and weight and size of equipment.

Electric paint ball guns are pretty cool, higher firerate and all, but you need to pack up ammo bulks or you will be fucked when the magazine runs out. Also, electric guns have higher chance of jamming than mechanical ones, because there are a lot of things that can go wrong with electric versions.
For example, last time I was paintballing, my brother's electric had following jams: battery ran out, feeder (automatic reloader for the paintballs) malfunctioned, minor CO2 leak which led to about 60% decrease in range and some other small problems as well.

Tippmann is also quality brand for mechanical ones. Avoid Vibe-brand electrical guns, they can chew up the battery in 30-60 minutes which leads to problems if fighting more than one match.
When i was first shot with a paint ball it was in the left nut by a 23 year old vergin.

Ouch. Never gotten shot in crotch area, luckily. Mostly to torso or head, because they are easy-to-hit areas.
Its fun, and it doesn't unless your a bitch.
Haven't played for a long time. First played when I was like 13 and I was pretty terrified but it's not too bad. Worst one I can remember is the back of the neck, but hopefully you won't get caught off guard like I was.
In my experience at least, I almost never pay attention to the pain, because i'm too busy laughing at some situation with my friends i'm with or just enjoying myself. Obviously there are some hard ones that'll sting hard and for a while but it's well worth it.
Definitely not that bad, and don't let the faggots shooting at trees before the match spook you into making you think it'll be worse than it is. Like others here I guess, I prefer NOT to play speedball- that's where you get the people that'll make you never want to come back. It's close quarters, it's very loud the first time, and it's a bit hard to track what's going on sometimes.
Best memory I have was a "civil war" type re-enactment, which allowed for a constant match for like hours on end with you just being forced to walk a track before coming back on. Even had big paint/nerf cannons to use on bunkers and stuff. Was pretty awesome. You'll enjoy it if you just run around and enjoy yourself instead of hiding and concentrating on how sure you are that a little ball of paint is going to be the most painful experience of your life.
Earlier this month went to the warped big game :) Biggest game in Europe with over 700 people a side.
The game itself is 8 hours long, played in 300 acres. In the area there was 6 voting stations, in each quarter of the game you could vote in each station, obviously your team had to control it to vote.
Defending and attacking these points was bloody fantastic, the best was point 6. In the last hour and a half, about 50 of us were in this massive open warehouse pinning down the majority of the other team. There was flashbangs and smoke all over the place.
Best weekend ever.
