You also are just turning 18 and im guessing that you are just getting a tattoo for the sake of it. I would leave it for a while and really weigh in the pros and cons of getting just a 7, which sounds to me that you are seriously going to regret it when you hit 50. But anything which has sentimental value such as a name or date you probably wont regret.
My brother has both his arms and the top part of his torso covered in red maple leaves which turn into green ones when the reach his wrist, they look really cool but I wouldn't get anything as extreme as that.
