This is a pretty cool tattoo.

My sister has one just like that. Except it was done in jail by a tattoo artist who had, quite obviously, been jailed.
People do homemade tattoos in my school, during classes

Not too smart.
A friend of mine has "Your name" on his ass.
So does my brother. :smug:
How about having the shark bust outside the site of your ribcage ,and snapping a pig in half which has the number 7 on it's forehead?
Not too smart.
They're practicing for when the get arrested. That's what most of them go to school to do anyway.
I plan on getting the quote "Blessed are the forgetful, for they get the better even of their blunders" tattooed across my upper back.
Hahahahaha, please tell me you're kidding that sounded so lame alright so lame. Sorry Shakespeare, yeah when I tattoo myself I'm gonna tattoo ; "Going around in a circle for I can't see its exit" thats how lame your quote sounded
At least your planning on getting something that means something
How is that something that means something? "7's my favorite number" and "I like sharks lol" doesn't mean anything. He's going to hate himself in a few years for getting something so stupid just because he turned 18 and could.
Why don't you wait til you can decide on what you want and if you like the shark thing then have like a reef mural thing with a shark and some fishes or something I don't know but whatever you choose is your decision in the end and you'll have to live with it :)
How is that something that means something? "7's my favorite number" and "I like sharks lol" doesn't mean anything. He's going to hate himself in a few years for getting something so stupid just because he turned 18 and could.
Actually I was born on march 7th, and the number's always been a significant number in my life, and I swam for the past 9 years so a shark represents my dedication and skill for swimming. Fuck.
On my way to France I had a coach driver who had a tattoo on his arm that said "the first woman I ever kissed was another man's wife" I was confused and he told me it was his mother.
I'd get one of the blacklight ones if it wasn't visible in normal light. Not sure what work says about tatoos.
So I'm turning 18 in 8 days, and I needed some ideas for tattoos, feedback on my idea, and figured I'd like to hear about other people's tattoos. I was thinking about getting a 7 on my back left shoulder, with a shark around the back of it, because 7's my favorite number (for multiple reasons) and because I'm a swimmer and I love sharks. Any comments on it? I still haven't gotten a good drawing of it so if anyone is pretty artistic, it'd be sweet to get a little concept art haha. Anyone else have any ideas for good tattoos, or pictures of theirs?
Love ya facepunch.
Yeah regular skin wont get you laid.

I was going to suggest not getting one, but after I saw this I changed my mind.
If you're hestitant about getting a tattoo, don't do it.
If you're getting a tattoo to "rebel" against your parents or authority, don't do it.
If you're getting a tattoo because it's "cool", don't do it.
If you're getting a tattoo because your friends are urging you to, don't do it.
Get a tattoo that means something to you. To remind you of something in your life. And think hard about it. That thing is going to be on your body for the rest of your life. Tattoo removal is painful and expensive and leaves nasty scars on your body. So think hard about this shit, man. Also, get it somewhere that can be easily covered up. You'll be hating that thing when you can't get a job because of it.
Talk to some adults you know that have tattoos that they got when they were a kid. A lot of them usually regret that decision. So make sure you know what you're doing.

I'm not rebelling, I've wanted one for a while and I have thought about this tattoo. It does mean something to me, because swimming is my life. Hence the shark. So I'm getting it for sure, and it's going on my back left shoulder.

I'm thinking of getting a tattoo actually, but I'm somewhat skinny at the moment. Will it in any way stretch out into one horrid mess once I start gaining some more weight?

it will stretch as skin stretches but I doubt it will drastically alter it. I suggest waiting until you're at a somewhat stable weight.

My friend has "Sink or Swim" across his back. Looks really cool and since you are a swimmer is would be a neat one to have.
Stars on your knuckles. When you fight, they'll see stars.
Dont get a tattoo when your 40 you will regret it, it will go all saggy and wrinkley.
Who the fuck wrinkles at 40?
Seriously both my parents are over 55 and they aren't wrinkled.
OP get a tattoo you feel connected to, like me, i'm getting the coat of arms for either side of my family's clans on my shoulder blades.
Question regarding blacklight tattoos:
Would it be possible to get one that is only visible under ultraviolet light?
That would just be awesome...
...that's the whole idea of using UV activated ink.
Tattoos are the most fun when they don't have so much thought behind them.
It's more fun to improvise a bit
