I bet the 99 cent pizza tastes better.
It's really the caviar you are paying for which costs a lot especially since the pizza has 6 different types of caviar and then has its lobster tail coming from Maine.
it's fish eggs, how the fuck can that be so expensive?
it's fish eggs, how the fuck can that be so expensive?
It is difficult to obtain, in particular in considerable quantities
The pizza I had in Italy was pretty meh.

I tried to order a Peperoni pizza in Italy and over there Peperoni pizza just means Pepper pizza. It was terrible.
Obligatory:
Obligatory:
Somehow I imagine this guy being the most awsome person to meet.
You can't really compare these two. One is a normal pizza, the other an expensive way to serve all kinds of caviar.
Pepperoni is called that way because it's supposed to be spicy salame, hence with Peperoni- which translates to red peppers- in it. Point is, we only make smoked spicy salame, and the idea of cured one is a little revolting, at least to me- It being cured is the reason of all the grease coming out of it.
That pizza is nowhere near worth 1000$, that's why it's so dumb.
that markup
My college is in Manhattan and there's this amazing dollar pizza place called Mike's Pizza literally one block away from school. For $1, it's the best fucking pizza I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. As a broke college student, you just can't go wrong with dollar pizza.
I've handmade that " $1000 Pizza " with the same prep and ingredients ( less wasabi though ) and it's such an ugly mix of flavors, the amount of wasabi is to kill the fucked up aromas and clashing flavors. 0/10 would not spend more than ingredient cost on.
Since when did salmon roe become so expensive? I got bags of that shite fresh sitting in my fridge, it's awful Why do rich people always eat the garbage parts of animals, salmon roe is fit to fertilize soil and that's about it.
The Vancouver Pizza Wars were awesome. At the pinnacle you could buy a slice for 75 cents.
He looks like the kind of person that will pick up a sledgehammer and smash your kneecaps because you you owe him 2 pizzas
"You owe me a meat lovers and a pepperoni by tomorrow or im burinin' yer' fuckin' house down, Tony!"
The $1000 pie is literally just something filthy rich assholes will buy just to show off that they're rich. It even has all the stereotypical rich people food in it like caviar.
0:25 [sp]Also a great metaphor for right to life debate[/sp]
That pizza is nowhere near worth 1000$, that's why it's so dumb.
The guy literally said in the video that the cost of the ingredients was $825. They probably use some of the highest quality of cavier, lobster, etc.
That expansive pizza takes no skill to prepare. They're just dumping expensive ingredients onto a generic pizza base.
You know, I used to think that putting pineapple on a Pizza was the worst thing you could do pizza. Turns out I was wrong. Pineapple's got nothing on that waste of money.
IMO Pineapple hawaiin pizza is fucking amazing.
Sturgeon are rare (Mostly because of us tho) It also takes awhile to make
i wonder if sturgeon eggs really taste that much better than, say, salmon roe or if it's just tradition/culture that drives people to eat the eggs of potentially endangered sturgeon.
i wonder if sturgeon eggs really taste that much better than, say, salmon roe or if it's just tradition/culture that drives people to eat the eggs of potentially endangered sturgeon.
They are usually done on farms and I think its illegal to capture wild ones in many countries I would love to have a taste once in my life as i love salmon roe
The pizza I had in Italy was pretty meh.
Best pizza I've ever had in my life is the "D Street" at a pizzeria in my town. Yellow coconut curry, jalepenos, potatoes, carrots, chicken, sriracha, and some lime juice (also cilantro and a house cheese blend, no idea what). Also, amazing crust. I would honestly kill for this pizza. Its also only $7! :v:

Gordon Ramsay's pizzas look infinitely better than that $1,000 one, and even they're $95 too much The best Pizzas I ever had were a Lobster pizza from Red Lobster which was surprisingly good, and a good ol' fashioned pizza at a place called Hellen Back. There's 2 Hellen Backs in my area and one of them is complete shit, with pizza you could drink the grease from. But the other made amazing pizza
You guys should really try pancetta on pizza sometime, fucking delicious.
That looks incredible. Where do you live?
Spokane, Washington. If you ever pass through on your way to seattle, this is worth a visit.

You should also try it with mushrooms. I miss it when pizzas were $8 here, now it's about $11 for pickup and $12-$13 for delivery(not including the delivery fee) for one pizza. Gourmet pizza is even worse which starts around $18(maybe it's $20, it's been a while since I last saw a gourmet pizza place).
The 99c pizza looked way more appealing than spending $1000, it actually looks like they put more care in it than the "luxury" joint plus Middle in Time Square and still having their prices to 99c is amazing value and they'd get plenty of good income
Wasabi Caviar and Shrimp? That sounds disgusting
Hey, that's what rich people eat, the garbage parts of the food.
Funnily enough the best pizza I've ever had was one I made myself in high school. Had all my favorite ingredients and didn't taste way too greasy. Other than that I just like frozen pizza :v:.
