The pizza I had in Italy was pretty meh.
Depends on where you get it. Fast food pizza is shit in Italy as well. You have to eat it in a pizzeria. Go to Naples (Napoli) and get pizza there. That's where it was invented. You won't regret it.
Best pizza place is in my area of Cwmbran called Pizza Parlour. The pizzas literally taste like they were crafted by gods.
Spokane, Washington. If you ever pass through on your way to seattle, this is worth a visit.
What's the pizzeria called? Because I'm pretty sure I've eaten there when I was exercising with the Washing National Guard.
Obligatory:
I wanted Margarita but everyone I was with wanted Peperoni so I'm even worse than you think!
And I thought I had been to an expensive restaurant, and it wasn't even a pizzeria.
Aaaaand now I'm hungry as fuck.
My favorite type of pizza is mushroom and spinach. Mostly because it ensures I'm the only one who will eat the pizza.
The 99c pizza looked way more appealing than spending $1000, it actually looks like they put more care in it than the "luxury" joint
While I'm not defending the rich snob guy, the interviewers were clearly on the side of the $1 pizza (not that I can really blame them). They had a much more comprehensive interview showing the inner workings of the $1 joint while it suddenly just cuts to the $1000 and takes off with the expensive ingredients. Not to mention that they compare the price of a slice with the price of a whole pizza in the title to make it more sensational (albeit very slightly). With that said, I would still go to the $1 pizza store 100 times out of a 100 because it looks tastier, it looks like a friendlier place, and is cheaper. Also I found it funny how in the hearty, thick $8 pizza slicing segment the guy just cuts through it like butter while in the $1000 Pizza the guy cutting it struggles to cut a thin sheet of dough. Either the second guy is weak as balls or that pizza crust is not very appetizing.
