If I had to guess, the small piece of plastic on the slide that pulls the piston back has snapped. This would result in the slide not pulling the spring back setting it to fire. Basically what I'm saying is you're screwed, the gun is trash. Had this happen on a Cybergun P226 I owned way back. First time I caught the plastic snap off, so luckily I was able to get a replacement. Couple of days later, same exact piece breaks off. Lesson here: Cheap guns break fast. There is reasons why they're so cheap, it's because they take shortcuts in the design and manufacturing of them resulting in a shitty product.
Attach a tactical trash can.

Solution for OP: Don't be a cheapass.
Agreed with everyone here. As I have heard, springers are only good for plinking shit when bored, not for an actual combat situation. Unless you were using it for plinking.
If you are going to get a springer, get a TM one for plinking.
Springer pistols can be a great back-up as long as you don't get a shit clear one.
Good news everyone! I've found a solution! http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=2328 Buy that and don't be a cheapass.
Good news donut! You're quite a bit late.
Have a clock, Donut King.
