Marriage can break down easily and I'd rather do what my parents are doing. They aren't married 'officially' but stay together. (Mostly because I'm a bastard child.) I learned not to go for marriage since I saw how my dad had a shitty marriage with his first wife.
Reminds me of my family.
Every marriage ended with a divorce, while those couple who's "just" been together have all been going strong for decades.
Besides, the only thing you get out of marriage are a few benefits, so it's vastly over-rated.
Might was well abolish Marriage completely, and transfer all the benefits to civil unions.
As a bonus, you can tell religious people to shut the hell up about gay couples :v:
I think this is subconscious behaviour of most women, and in fact i hate it with all my guts too. Disgusting.
36 agrees, stay classy facepunch
Also why would you buy a 14 year old a car? I know that was probably a lie too but I don't know what in her head made it sound plausible.
That was a bold faced lie on her part, here in the US you need to be 16 to get your drivers license. She was probably just saying anything she could think of to get her son to get out of the car or make him feel like shit.
Uhhh. That's pretty sexist, dude. I mean sure, the lady's a total bitch, but there's no "half-hidden mannerism" that causes all women to do that in order to incriminate the others.
i think he's right though, i've seen women do that waaay too many times

Here's interview from Son and Father after the video, more insight on situation and stuff.
Props to that kid for getting an interview, but the "ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh" thing is almost unbearable.
That video, almost exactly what happend to a friend, except his father actually was jailed.
Ive witnessed this several times in my own life, "most" was probably not hitting the right spot.
"Many" would have been better, definitely no individual case. However I have not seen this behaviour
in men, not once. Now you can call it what you want to, but thats my personal experience.
There are actually men who will engage in this type of behaviour. My ex-boyfriend used to do it quite often to guilt me into staying with him when I tried to break up with him (which I mistakenly fell for) and even tried (unsuccessfully) to guilt me into sleeping with him.
What a boss! Best Vid I've seen in a while!
UPDATE!
As of August, the boy has been forced to move back in with the evil mother. Worse still, they've now moved house so he and the other kids are 6 hours from their father too!
Man I was hoping for an update with good news.
it's so fucked that the kid has to live with his abusive mother.

Why are some mothers such... bastards. Seriously.
Makes me thankful for my mom
"but she can't be abusive, she's the mother!"
God damnit, this kid had the balls to stand up to his abusive shithead mother, and then gets forced to live with her? That's fucking unfair.

I was really hoping this bump wasn't about something like this.
Where can we contact these two? Parker and his Father?
When my parents divorced they asked me (I was 12) who I wanted to live with. This seems like the smartest and most obvious option - why don't more people do that?
That was some of the hardest decisions in my life. I mean most will love their parents equally. You don't want to upset neither of them but you have to make a choice.

Did she fucking bribe everyone? or did no one bother seeing the evidence?
Doesn't the guy have legal rights to choose if he should live with his father no matter what situation the father's in?
[editline]21st September 2013[/editline]
I just spoke to my friend which works as a homocide detective. He says the child has no right to choose to live with his father due to his bad influence of background activities. But he also says that if the mother is abuse the child will have the ability to choose; Mother, father, or a complete new location. What the father and son has to do is to prove the mother's abusive action(s).

Are you talking about the swedish laws right now?
Are you talking about the swedish laws right now?
No, U.S law
Why the fuck isn't he allowed to choose?
Surely if he (the dad) showed the courts that video, it would prove that the women is a danger.
Hitting a kid in the face, choaking him, threating to sue, forcibly trying to restrain the kid and trying to lock him in his room
How much more fuckinhg proof does someone need!
this is such bullshit. any sane human can see the child is FAR better looked after with father.
Wow what a bitch, people really should let her know shes a bitch, because she is a horrible bitch.

Custody cases In the US are so fucking stilted towards the mother regardless of how bad a parent she is it's not even funny.

Yes, it really is biased towards the mother big time. When my parents split up my father only got to see me two weekends out of the month and i was lucky if that could happen since he worked so much. The justice system is hideously biased towards the mother
