I remember that movie when I was seven. It was quite a friendly movie.
I unsure if I wanna sequel or not, because they always fuck shit up with sequels. But then again, I'd love to see a sequel.
Boxes for sequel, rainbows for no sequel.
Hehe, you're all crazy

I love this movie. I remember watching it when I was a kid.
I was mildly surprised when I found out Vin Diesel voiced the giant.
And it's basically the best movie hes ever done.
Yeah Dean was cool. Quite a few people have had him for an avatar.
Hello. :D
This is a fantastic movie. It's a shame it isn't as known as it should be.
I didn't cry because it wasn't that moving to me. But It was still a good movie none the less.

Best movie ever. When cartoon network had that 2 day marathon of it, I set up stuffed animals to watch it.

I need to see this movie again.

I've had this for like two days now. :smug:
Excellent, excellent, excellent movie. And nobody seems to remember it anymore.

Still I have one now. soo. :mmmsmug:
I liked it cause the characters were easily loveable. It is a movie for all ages. And each and every line makes sense not just random humor. Every scene has humor and a sense heroism at the end was just pure epic
still waiting for someone to come itt and be like "ugh this movie blows"
if thats even possible
Ah ha, my ex-girlfriend hated it!
I'm a part of the loving it bandwagon, but at least you know the haters unfortunately exist.
I assume that's why you two are no longer together
Still I have one now. soo. :mmmsmug:
You heard of the 'Dream Team'? Well we're the Dean Team.
haven't seen this movie in forever need to check it out again
Wow, did any of you know that Vin Diesel was the voice actor for the Iron Giant? Just found that out today.

Yep, and Jennifer Aniston as Hogarth's mother.
Why didn't the Iron Giant just shoot the missile down instead of ramming his head into it?
They just don't make em like this anymore :sigh:
Why didn't the Iron Giant just shoot the missile down instead of ramming his head into it?
Either...
A) His accuracy wasn't that great from 1000 miles away.
B) His weapons didn't work in space.
or C) He didn't want to become a weapon anymore.
I go with C
the art direction in this movie is absolutely phenomenal.
i love it.
I go with C
he was what he chose to be.
god DAMN i have to get this on dvd cause the VHS i have is sucky
I still wished he'd just shot the missile down and then went home with the kid. Then again the Government would have strapped him to the back of a truck and hauled him away anyhows. Oh well, I guess they did what they could there.
Oh and the very very end was cool too and left the door open for a sequel. :)
Was reminded by a mate about this film. I nostalgia'd after watching a scene, and now it's on my mind.
I watched this movie alongside being introduced to Asimov and Sagan by my father, and it amazed me. Hahah, I remember asking so many questions concerning machines from space to my father (an engineer and huge Asimov and Sagan fan as well), and then I moved onto robotic 'morality' per se. Definitely among one of the most fantastic children's films out there.
motherfucking yes
