Well the FP channel streamed it and nothing happened, so....
I never said streaming is illegal. Streaming is actually a legal loop-hole. [editline]08:45PM[/editline]
Wait, seeing as under American law corporations are treated as separate legal entities, wouldn't we not be able to do anything until 75 years after Warner Brothers goes insolvent? [editline]11:37AM[/editline] Which could be like, hundreds of years?
Correct. Unless they decided it was okay.
We still have this on Facepunch TV, if enough people want it we could organise a showing.
Facepunch TV?
I've always and still love this movie to death, but what kind of name is Hogarth? I mean, what was his mom smoking when she named him?
I just watched the movie, i understand why people love it but i thought it was kinda "meh"
I've always and still love this movie to death, but what kind of name is Hogarth? I mean, what was his mom smoking when she named him?
This is lampshaded by Kent. [editline]09:26PM[/editline] tvtropes invading my vocabulary again
Me: I can't wait to see Iron Giant again. This'll be great! *3/4ths of the movie later*:munch: "Nothing can stop this thing, we've hit it with everything we've got" "That's not it, General. We've still got..the bomb." :gonk:
Lol, and right at the climax too.
this movie is awesome as fuck
I always wanted to see this, but never had the chance (story of my life). I read the book though (see above). It was cool. Dude picked a fight with a bird and FUCKED SHIT UP [editline]10:17PM[/editline]
http://youtube.com/watch?v=3UkZOZIO63I
Haha, Hogarth's gay for Iron Giant. [editline]10:18PM[/editline] And then everyone dies of radiation poisoning the end.
I just finished watching this then. I've loved this movie for years  Best line in the movie: [sp]"Hogarth... You, stay. I, go. No following."[/sp] The shivers down my spine
I just realized what a silly name that boy had, Hogarth? Maybe it was popular back in the 50's.
I just realized what a silly name that boy had, Hogarth? Maybe it was popular back in the 50's.
Why would they put that much research into a name? Don't be silly.
I watched this movie as a kid, too. [sp]The kid has a robot fetish and proves it at 1:08[/sp]
Why would they put that much research into a name? Don't be silly.
because you want your movie to have authenticity? come on. youre not gonna set a movie in 1780s france and name a character spike johnson
I loved how detailed and accurately the animators depicted the various pieces of 1950s US military hardware from the F-86 to the M41 Walker Bulldog.
I always thought it was an M26 Pershing.
This is lampshaded by Kent. [editline]09:26PM[/editline] tvtropes invading my vocabulary again
hog hug
Why would they put that much research into a name? Don't be silly.
It's the name of the kid in the book.
I watched this movie as a kid, too. [sp]The kid has a robot fetish and proves it at 1:08[/sp]
I lold.
Oh, it's just that a lot of copyrights run out after 10+ years.... So posting is a no-go i take it?
If by 10+ you mean 70+ after authors death, unless it is owned by a corporation in which case it's 50 or so I believe and not after death but after time of creation. Copyright is also unrenewable. Trademarks and patents and shit can be renewed but the copyright expires when it expires.
man the battle was fucking epic
Damn I haven't seen this in forever, I really should watch it again even though it'll be the third or fourth time.
Anybody wanna send me a VHS via snail mail. :v:
Movie was good, but it's been a long time since I've seen it; I'll have to watch it again. But what's with all of the avatars of Dean recently?
Movie was good, but it's been a long time since I've seen it; I'll have to watch it again. But what's with all of the avatars of Dean recently?
Because, dean is an ultimate badass.
Because, dean is an ultimate badass.
Now that's a matter of opinion; but I can dig it. Damn, the more I think about it, the more I want to watch it. I have it on dvd around here somewhere :/
Because, dean is an ultimate badass.
I love this movie.
I loved this movie when I first saw it.
I love this movie.
I'd let him fuck me. [sp]No lube, I Sub :3[/sp]
Because, dean is an ultimate badass.
This man says the truth
Movie was good, but it's been a long time since I've seen it; I'll have to watch it again. But what's with all of the avatars of Dean recently?
For me it is coincidence. I found a nice website with hi-def pictures from animated films, I saw Dean was one of them, I liked the expression in the one I currently have, put it to the optimal size, and presto. A day later this thread shows up. I've got great timing. :smug:
I love this movie.
