It's kind of like a love-hate thing

because its really cool if you think about a mine that was abandoned 70 years ago and everyone just dropped their shit and left it inside, there is BOUND to be tons of cool stuff inside

on the other hand, climbing into a dark hole in the ground then dying in a collapse doesn't really sound like a lot of fun

if i were to explore one, i would get a huge spool of bright red rope, and tie it off at the beginning and let it unravel as I went. I would also bring a backpack full of plenty of batteries and replacement lights for my flashlight, and i would also film the way i went just to be sure that I wouldn't lose my way

I live in Panama City, Florida. The beach is really busy during spring and summer. I bet people lose some good stuff, but I don't want to be that tacky guy scanning the beach with a metal detector.

We bring a variety of equipment, including garden stakes and glow-in-the-dark rope that we stake down as we go, it comes in handy, and we have yet to get lost.

well if you got lost you'd be fucked because there are miles of tunnels in every mine

plus it kind of freaks me out when people follow veins downward, so like, there are holes in the ground you can fall into

I was in a mine in colorado for a tour and they showed us a spot where some guy died falling when he mined in there in the 1920s

To be completely honest?

The odds of anything life-threatening are very low if you take your time, make sure you have an excellent light-source, and make sure where you are. That's why we bring in backpacks full of supplies, head-lamps, spare batteries, and rope. Lots and lots of rope.

Seriously, I cannot stress that enough, you can never have too much rope.

Hmm im mainly interested in Us M1918 trench knives, and U.S. M8 or U.S. M6 knives those are really sexy, or even better a gravity knife, but those are way rare and cost a ton, I already have some blades and other parts of bayonets that i have found when digging, but not actually well preserved knives.

I only just noticed you live in germany, it really sucks you can't have ww2 era german flags and german helmets with decals (other than the tri-color flag decal i guess)

It's also worth noting that if you sign up, you can place markers and create "paths", for things like tunnels.

It should also be worth noting that [B]SERIOUSLY PEOPLE[/B], have a travel buddy or two (or three or four or eight). Safety in numbers rings true when you're exploring places that might home what some might consider "undesirables", and it might even be a good idea to carry a [B]legal[/B] weapon in some situations.
