It's because it's got a higher demand than other drugs so they know they can get away with shit. That and weed seems to pass hands more than others, so you tend to get a bit of picking at each level.

when i used to smoke weed and eighth was 3.5g, weighed on pan scales with a penny. it was a tenner for an eigth of hash or 20 for bud. seems you're right though, now my friends pay 20 for 2.5g? what the hell.

at one point an ounce of hash was 25 quid round here. that's when there was so much weed nobody could smoke it all, then it dried out for a bit and here we are.

It's funny some of the texts we get from some asian dealers - "dynamite pukka blues has landed fat bags call jimmy 2 til 2" fuuuck off you horrible bastard, your bags and weed are shit and you take about 5 hours to get anywhere near where I am, and your names not even jimmy you silly cunt
anyway you just need to try different dealers if you think you're getting ripped off. It depends though, some dealers do it so the more you buy at once, the more you get if you get what I mean (eg a tenners is 1g, eighth 2.2g, quarter 5g) or in other words it's indirectly proportional or some shit
but yeah if you think it's worth the effort it's better to take the chance of 'wasting' a tenner trying to find a better dealer. it's only one note down the drain and you're always getting at least something in return. if it's worse than those you've tried already, move on to the next one. dealers RARELY change the amount they give you, although some are snidey cunts and will give you a fatter bag the first/couple of times to lure you in, then give you dogshit amounts from then on, you'll be thinking "oh he must have been skanked himself" or something along those lines and "their bags will get better" but it's not likely

thing is weed isn't dry at all round here, its just greedy dealers who'd rather make a tenner of each bag instead of £5 or w/e. There's only one dealer where i live who sells bag over 2.5 and that's white rhino which no matter how much he buys he's always sold out on the first day because he's the only guy who actually sells nice bags of weed at nice weights. everyone else sells super-mongy cheese at shit weights and is probably sprayed with hairspray and deodrant anyway
ive heard from pretty much everyone who goes to uni say that surrey, london and surround counties are just shit for weed compared to other counties. not sure why because i thought london would have the best but it's the complete opposite

£10 here will get you 1g if you're lucky, but more likely 0.8 as they're more interested in making money. Though I can't really complain, it's not legal and money is their goal anyway.

It's the same up here now, standard price for weed is £10 a gram. It's disgraceful like, the funny thing is, the quality has decreased since the price went up.
Just to back up what I said earlier with some anecdotal evidence, we've been using this one dealer who lives locally for about a week and suddenly he bangs out the fattest tenners bags you'll have ever seen. He says it was weighed at 1.4g and I have to believe the guy, because it looked at least twice as packed as the average bag we'd usually get (Usually they're about 0.8+)
