i don't see the problem with this? his daughter clearly didn't learn from the last time, and if you were a parent who'd let their kid grow up without some punishment here and there to kick them onto the right road, they'd be worse off.
okay, 2 thoughts:
A. why would i take parenting advice from you when i'm older than you?
B. why would i take parenting advice from someone who likes shooting things and embarrassing his family on facebook?
maybe his daughter didn't learn from last time because she has shitty parents?

you are right i think we should stop caring
I suppose a leather belt to the ass would be a better alternative?
right, obviously those are the only two options.

A. Age=/=Intelligence
B. It was to make a point and although he may have gone a little overboard, she should certainly learn her lesson.
maybe his daughter didn't learn from last time because she has shitty parents?
Maybe their previous punishment wasn't harsh enough?

Which is exactly why she should be punished you dolt.
right, obviously those are the only two options.
Oh yeah, lets "talk" to her about things. Like that ever solves fuck all.

I wanna see his daughter's reaction
right, obviously those are the only two options.
I'd like to see what you would've done under the circumstances. Not that there are only two other option just that I can't come up with other effective options.
A. Age=/=Intelligence

A. right, but i'm only seeing the age part right now. (hehhe)
B. she should certainly learn her lesson. but she won't, because that's a stupid way to teach any lesson.
Maybe their previous punishment wasn't harsh enough?
right.
because obviously teenagers learn from punishment.
that whole healthy rebellion thing is just a myth.
If my dad shot my computer I would sure hell be pissed at him for years....
That he bought? And he spent upgrading the previous day only to have you whine about him on her Facebook to look cool?
Which is exactly why she should be punished you dolt.
you're gonna make a great tyra- father someday.
just stay away from California so your kids don't break my car.
Oh yeah, lets "talk" to her about things. Like that ever solves fuck all.
have you ever worked or communicated with kids and teenagers? they are very smart actually, and they understand a lot more than you might think they do.
a teenager fighting his or her parents is absolutely normal, but it's important that the parents support this and prevent strife from happening.
but of course i'm talking about adults.
seems to be we're talking about a giant teenager with a 16 year old daughter.
That being said, this is apparently her second time doing something like this. He handled it privately, but since that didn't work he posted this on Youtube. Being punished not only by your parents, but being embarrassed by your peers has an even larger effect.
right.
because obviously teenagers learn from punishment.
Now you're just being a moron.
I have not yet seen a single teenager who didn't learn from getting punished. Usually, teenagers that don't learn from getting "punished" aren't getting punished at all.
a teenager fighting his or her parents is absolutely normal
Maybe in your distorted view of the world. Definitely not mine.
I'd like to see what you would've done under the circumstances. Not that there are only two other option just that I can't come up with other effective options.
well that's why you aren't a parent.
neither am I, but uh i also don't hate childeren or teenagers and use the internet as an outlet for my misanthropy...
A. right, but i'm only seeing the age part right now. (hehhe)
what?
B. she should certainly learn her lesson. but she won't, because that's a stupid way to teach any lesson.
Please elaborate besides "it's stupid".
right.
because obviously teenagers learn from punishment.

So now you want to debate whether or not punishment can change behavior?
Now I want to see what that computer looks like after it got shot with hollowpoint rounds............
well that's why you aren't a parent.
neither am I, but uh i also don't hate childeren or teenagers and use the internet as an outlet for my misanthropy...
Please come back when you're being sensible and not an asshole.

I hope you have one so when he spits at your face you realize what a fucking idiot you are.

I really can't take you seriously after that anymore.

that's probably because you are a teenager and haven't really seen the world outside of that lens.
teenagers, if i remember correctly because i was one, seek ways to rebel against childish notions such as punishment because we consider ourselves our own adult.
but this is absolutely healthy because it fosters an independent mentality.
if you can't reason with your teenager, it's because you didn't teach your teenager what reason is.
YEAH GUYS BECAUSE ALL KIDS ARE THE SAME
but this is absolutely healthy because it fosters an independent mentality.

No, it's not. Teenagers are fucking stupid.
I hope you have one so when he spits at your face you realize what a fucking idiot you are.
part of being an adult is being able to have a discussion without saying things you're going to regret.
I really can't take you seriously after that anymore.
no believe me they really are. when a mind is developing it doesn't mean that it doesn't work or that it's diminished in capacity, it means that it's simply more malleable.
John Locke was right
No, it's not. Teenagers are fucking stupid.
there is that ugly misanthropy that i was talking about.
John Locke was right
I thought you were talking about LOST, I'm such an idiot...
it kind of bothers me because instead of bringing these feelings up and seeing why a person feels a certain way (yes teenagers feel certain things for a reason), the guy instead throws a fit like a child and breaks something.
and of course childeren love seeing something get smashed so the response isn't very surprising.
Filming yourself shooting your daughter's laptop for something as silly as a facebook post, and then posting said video for the world to see. How reasonable.
Stellar parenting mister!
Saying all teenagers are stupid is a dumb generalization. Their minds are still developing, and they lack experience, but stupid? What teenagers are you people running into that you have such a bad opinion of EVERY SINGLE ONE?
Who doesn't enjoy seeing things smashed?
