If so- And a really nice one I currently use as my laptop wallpaper- [t]http://dover.idf.il/NR/rdonlyres/519FB87E-B4C0-45EB-AE8B-D06B4B32490E/0/02_cropped_big.jpg[/t]
Here's something cool I just learned by visiting wikipedia- All Merkava tanks have a built-in 60mm mortar that can be fired from inside the tank. Neat.
German Pride Incoming! Leopard 2. So many German tanks here, do you all have a love affliction with our vehicles?
Yes. WWII-era German tanks are the sexiest thing to ever exist. Out of all the modern MBTs today, the Leopard 2 is my favorite aesthetically. That front turret just gives me a hard-on.
M551 Sheridan, one of the sexiest things I've ever seen.
Here's something cool I just learned by visiting wikipedia- All Merkava tanks have a built-in 60mm mortar that can be fired from inside the tank. Neat.
damn, what CAN'T the merkava do?
damn, what CAN'T the merkava do?
Well, i'd say it's more of a defensive tank than anything, so other tanks probably have better offensive capability. [editline]1st August 2012[/editline] Also, Trophy just got activated on a tank situated near the Gaza strip. Fucking forcefields man
Seriously, the T28 is like a hetzer on serious steroids.
no its a t28
Oops.
Oh my god, Apache, tag that last one [editline]1st August 2012[/editline] Also, the Nagmachon is an IFV, not a tank
The lack of Soviet WW2 tanks is disturbing. I can't find the pictures that I took last time I saw some tanks on display, so you'll have make do with wikipedia images. Here's one of a Churchill Crocodile pissing fire over something: A few years ago I went to Eden Camp, a WWII museum near York and they have a couple of WWII era tanks on show (unfortunately, none in working condition). They've got a Crocodile, but the display sign was missing and I didn't know what it was. There was a guy working there and I asked him if he knew anything about it, he said: "That's a Churchill Crocodile. See that covered nozzle thing there, that's for pissing fire over the Germans." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Churchill_Crocodile All tanks should have flamethrowers.
Oh my god, Apache, tag that last one [editline]1st August 2012[/editline] Also, the Nagmachon is an IFV, not a tank

The TANK & ARMOR THREAD
wow fucking really, god damn you st0rmforce
I didn't say it wasn't armored, I said it wasn't a tank.
Ah right, didn't see the part where he said tank.
wow fucking really, god damn you st0rmforce
I didn't say it wasn't armored, I said it wasn't a tank.
it has treads and armor technically a tank
it has treads and armor technically a tank
"technically", it isn't referred to as that
Challenger2, the meanest motherfucker to ever walk this earth. Weighing in at 85tonnes she is the heaviest tank ever to enter service you should feel humbled to live on the same planet as this motherfucker. She has the best armour protection of any modern tank, similar firepower to all other modern tanks, worse onroad mobility due to massive weight but the best off-road mobility of any tank due to the brilliant suspension design and the ability to control each track independently. Whether or not you agree with me that this is the best tank in the world you have to admit she is a mean motherfucker and on par with everything else out there. Having driven multiple tanks nothing feels the same as Challenger2, it has so much torque compared to anything else out there that it just never gets bogged down in any terrain imaginable.
"technically", it isn't referred to as that
oh
ITT: all retro tank lovers are WoT players.
I haven't played WoT in like a year and a half and I thought modern tanks were ugly before I even played it. :v:
