Kilts are very expensive. You're looking at £200-£300 pounds for a proper one
I know.
So anyone outside Ireland or Scotland ever ordered one through internet? If you did, could you tell me where?
I believe Gurant has one, so he might know where to get one. Hope he drops by.
also we never wear kilts in Ireland................NEVER
Buy a real kilt, not a skirt.
The Scottish are invading the forums:

Is a kilt.
Looks more like a checkered toga to me.

I wouldn't mind a kilt in the summer, but I don't think I have big enough cajones (literally). If I pass out in the summer heat and some hot lass comes by to check out what I'm packing, she's got to be impressed or it wasn't worth the money.
Kilts are fucking awesome.
Kilts are the comfiest thing a man can wear next to his own skin.
Anyone who thinks a kilt is "sissy" or unmanly is simply an ignorant, stiff square simply without the mental capacity to think outside their own cultural norms.
Why, you'd look just as stupid as the nerdy white guys wearing ushankas

Better than Banana Republic.
Kilts are bad-ass I must agree. I wish I could get one to wear. But I already look too feminine. Long hair, Feminine facial structure, Slim body. I get called a girl quite a bit and not as an insult people just honestly make a mistake. I'm sure it would only add the the feminine look of me if I wore one, so I know its a bad idea for me myself to wear one.
Is that you in your avatar?
Hhahaha no. Its Orly Taitz... Yes thats her REAL name. Orly haha
haha!
I have long hair as well, I wear a kilt.
Thing is, if I gave a fuck what people thought
everyone would have AIDS.
Wear one, you'd be a fuckin' badass.
If you buy/wear one and you're not actually scottish, people will just think you're a dick.
Hell Scottish people get enough jipp for the sense behind their attire, coldest part of britain so lets wear man skirts.
Historical values as they are though, it makes them respectable. But to a non-scott? No.
I bought my kilt via ebay... the guy still made it to fit me and everything though.
Also, here in Scotland you can find kilts in old vintage shops too but I dont think that would be the same where you are.
So yeah, try ebay.

Unless you have a scottish accent, lying about being scottish works just fine. Ain't like a white guy wearing a du-rag.

That's me. I just don't think I could pull it off. And yes I am Scotch Irish so I think my heritage covers kilt wearing. My hair is longer than the pic as that was last summer. So its about 4-5" longer. I just don't have any more recent pics.
You guys tell me If you think I could pull off a kilt.
You'd fucking rock the kilt... I have hair about the same as yours and wear it now and again, it looks particularly cool with a cool t shirt and some converse.
IMO if you're wearing a kilt you kinda need a sporran too at least.

Deff I'd get a rabbit foot sporran just because they look classical yet totally awesome.
I'd get one myself, but I don't have the legs/leghair for it, and I kinda have 2 clan tartans equally close to me. Brown on my grandfather's side, Walker on my Grandmother's.
