DICE: modding is a* declining trend ''Patrick Bach''
Well modding for major AAA games is defiantly in decline due the increasingly popularity of paid DLC among publishers and developers who also want the communities of their games to move onto the next one they release as soon as possible, which is another reason why you're seeing the major developers and publishers take a more hostile position on modding since a large variety of good mods extend the lifetime of a game community like Battlefield with Project Reality and Forgotten Hope 2.
Hell I can't count how many games I have that still have a community going just because of the mods for it but among them are the older Command and Conquers(Particularly Generals and Zero Hour) and Operation Flashpoint/ ARMA: Cold War Assault.
However when it comes to others games like ARMA, Red Orchestra, and ETC it's still popular although it's probably getting more difficult to do it due to the increasing complexity of game engines and coding.
But anyway, I've never been able to get into Project Reality, the learning curve to it is just way too steep for me.
Why was the view skewed like that? I honestly get motion-sick pretty fast by playing like that.

and it's in no way related to the fact that no big developers support modding
It had the potential to bring PvP to Arma2. Too bad my computer can't really handle Arma2 that well, would love to try it out.
It's really bad in my opinion. Scopes + PvP = Everyone dies
For a second I thought I was back in 2005 or something.
Time to reinstall my old friend.

Do you guys want a ventrilo voice server? I still have one lying around hosted at typefrag.
Got banned from the US Official server because I TK'd two people and they punished me.
I couldn't see them on the map, or their tags that show up when you look at them.
I hope it's not permanent..
Damn, I hope I updated Battlefield 2 to the newest version. I'm looking forward to a Facepunch game if you guys try again.
