I don't think he knew he was going to introduce them, but Hussie has been teasing the whole "thirteenth troll" thing for a while. Back when we were first introduced to the troll's exiles, he made one of the Derse banners have a pentagon for the moon with 7 towers, while the Prospit banner only had 6. He retconned it shortly, but it was fuel for the thirteenth troll argument for a long time. Not to mention the fact of songs like "The Thirteenth Hour", which is supposedly UU's theme. Basically, I'm saying that maybe he wasn't foreshadowing UU/UU, but poking fun at the people in the fandom who support the old "thirteenth troll" theory. Sorry if this sounds like a douche comment or anything, just trying to bring a new perspective to the argument!
But it doesn't sound weird at all for one planet to have seven towers in the troll session, though it should be Prospit that has seven. Or am I missing something?
But it doesn't sound weird at all for one planet to have seven towers in the troll session, though it should be Prospit that has seven. Or am I missing something?
I thought it was because Sollux had both a Derse and Prospit dreamself
Check this shit out motherfuckers cause the lady that brought you vocal versions of Derse Dreamers, Sarabande, and Three in the Morning has now put out a vocal version of Pyrocumulus (Kickstart) and it kicks major ass. Check it: She's also stated that she has a vocal version of Flare (holy shit yes) and she's writing lyrics to Sburban Jungle. So fuck yeah.

Apparently this is from some visual novel fangame. I wish to know the context for it. k, so in the lack of updates to the story, i somewhat began thinking into some things and i may have a sort-of stupid yet plausible theory on Lord English's origin. The basic idea of it is he was one of the original creators/programmers of the game Sburb, "A game designed to provide new content on it's own, based on the actions of the previous players (I.E. 'universe creation')", And this is like 100-150 years or so ahead of time in our own actual universe when technology is all super fancy, and for this situation it's tech that actually places users into a digital world, originally being tested with this game, that being one of it's key selling points Lord English is a greedy bastard. Typical story of one person of a team backstabbing the others for personal gain, he attempts to reverse engineer this technology, and does so successfully, essentially giving him the ability to create what he wants, when he wants, by using digital energy to create objects. Now, Theory of Mass–energy equivalence [E=mc^2] states (if I'm reading this right) that you need a metric fuckton of energy to convert it into matter. Where could anyone find enough energy to accomplish such a feat? The destruction of a universe. hell, doing just that made a sun that gave god powers to a puppet. That has to be a large amount of energy, right? Anyway, he makes the decision to keep the game going, being sure what little energy could be scavenged would be used to place the original game field into it's own mini-universe, so that anything spawned from that would be just as real as the world we live in. Unaware to the users of the game's new purpose, they play through 'successfully', creating a new universe set up just right so that that universe eventually creates it's own universe, so on so forth Once a universe's purpose has been served, it gets destroyed, feeding the energy need of Lord English so that he can keep living fancy oh and somehow that Cairo overcoat and staff used in combination is his weapon of destruction/energy conversion tool oh, and so this post isn't completely content-less, here's a mashup of a felt track with an unreal tournament 3 track I made when I was attempting to listen to 'swing of the clock' on tf2's ctf_facingworlds http://dl.dropbox.com/u/14573214/Unreal%20Felt%203%20-%20Swing%20and%20Assault.mp3
So, you're saying he uses the destruction of universes to convert their energy into matter. A few questions. Why doesn't he just use the matter itself instead of the energy? Why, if he's "living fancy," does he wear tattered pants and a coat? Why does he need Scratch as a host?
VR1SK4? 1S TH1S YOU?
Why does he need Scratch as a host?
Because Scratch is simply the best host there is.
Because Scratch is simply the best host there is.
...damn
that theory was thought up in the collective span of about 30 minutes or so spread out across three days, still working out the kinks I kinda imagined the conversion process to go something like 'matter > energy > new matter' kind of like the alchemization process, just replacing grist with energy
VR1SK4? 1S TH1S YOU?
Totally
I wanted to post a giant wall of content cause it's my birthday, but the only image I haven't posted before is Jane eating a toaster. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/eyKaT.png[/img_thumb] Not like anything else would top it, anyways.
that theory was thought up in the collective span of about 30 minutes or so spread out across three days, still working out the kinks I kinda imagined the conversion process to go something like 'matter > energy > new matter' kind of like the alchemization process, just replacing grist with energy
I honestly think you're cutting out the amazing possibility that is the alchemy system with this theory. I mean you can't really reconcile traditional thermodynamics with the literal ability to transmute items into their base elements at no known cost, and back again. Let alone that all forms seem to have a unique code that not only describes them but is capable of basic operators. Now if, using the terms of the comic's universe you're saying that he's essentially undoing the ultimate alchemy that supposedly turns a frog into a full universe like how Rose redeemed those perfectly generic objects then yeah, that very well might be it.

I should make a playlist of songs that are 4 minutes and 13 seconds long for this Friday. Also I've been making playlists for people and slipping certain normal sounding Homestuck songs in them. Also, my sister correctly guessed how Jaspers would die and got really happy when it happened, realized what she guesses would happen, and then got horribly sad.

I have seen few things more canonically accurate

Not fat enough.
Wow I just downed an entire anime series within 2 days. It was 51 episodes. This little break of Hussie's is hurting me badly. I need more cartoon drama.
WHAT ANIME WAS IT
Wow I just downed an entire anime series within 2 days. It was 51 episodes. This little break of Hussie's is hurting me badly.
WHAT ANIME WAS IT
Some anime called "Soul Eater" It was about some kids in an academy with the grim reaper and some of the kids are weapons and the grim reaper's son is an emo kid who holds dual pistols upside down and shoots with his pinky's. It has some pretty silly things in it I can only describe as "Japanese" if you know what I mean [sp]:3:3:3:3 DESU KAWAII <3<3<3 :3:3[/sp]
oh that was a shitty anime
oh that was a shitty anime
I didn't hate it but it has nothing compared to Samurai Champloo or Cowboy Bebop. NOTHING on Cowboy Bebop.
Now Katanagatari, that was a stylish as fuck anime
oh that was a shitty anime
I like the manga of it.
you just liked it because it looked pretty
i like dragon ball z
That's a mighty fine theory and all, but only thing that's destroyed when playing the game is the planet (or was it civilization, forgot which doesn't really matter per se). Though I might be missing something on the theory because I'm in a rush but eh.
