How many punctuation marks are there after Jane said No?
It seems like Dirk is going to confess his feelings for Jake by making the brobot give him the uranium. You could say he's making the brobot give its heart to Jake.
BRILLIANT.

What am I looking at?
the hero of life turns down the hero of hope
sound familiar?
Yes. It's pretty soft and the color is really nice. The Void symbol isn't too noticeable on the front, but you can see it well on the back.
Ok then, I guess I'll get one then.
Now the hard long arduous journey to figure out which one I want.
I can't wait to see all of the inevitable images of Jane bursting in to treats and spaghetti falling out of her pockets.
Which hoodie do you guys think I should get?

sorta like this
To make reference to spaghetti falling out of one's pockets is a humorous reference in order to accentuate social awkwardness. The concept originated from a humorous story told on 4chan's /v/ board, in which a poster recounted a story where they went to Gamestop to pre-order Ar Tonelico, but upon being stricken by the beauty of the cashier began to lose track of what they were saying. They then detailed that upon this moment of awkward silence, spaghetti began to fall out of their pockets and they fell to the ground crying ("burst in to treats" [sic]). They then ran out of the store with tears streaming down their face and spaghetti streaming out of their pockets. The sheer ridiculousness of this story has forever engrained itself in to the internet, with spaghetti falling out of a person's pockets being humorously associated with romantic/social awkwardness.
God I'm bored. I probably would have just left this go without explanation if it weren't taking fifty years to download the Hamburger Helper Space Adventures 3 Demo.
I've narrowed it down to Mind, Time and Space. Although I can't figure out which of them I like most.
Depends which hoodie would make you not look like a stick in the mud

This latest update sorta-maybe confirms the fact this is taking place before she asked the Baroness about her brother. She still thinks Jake is her brother.
That or Hussie is ignoring all this foreshadowing stuff he snuck into the comic. It's still a bit strange for Jake to be asking that question if he "knew" Jane was his sister. I'm guessing he either forgot about her or doesn't recognize her

What Nanna is explaining is what took place in John, Rose, Jade and Dave's universe.
Jake, Dirk, Jane and Roxy live in a completely different universe. The Scratched version of the original 4 kids' universe. Jake and Jane aren't related in the slightest. In fact, none of the 4 scratch kids are related at all.
When John ecotbiologically creates baby versions of all the kids, Nanna, Gramps, Mom and Bro are made from paradox imprints of themselves. Let me post this image again.

Their DNA gets combined to make John, Rose, Jade and Dave. Jake, Dirk, Jane and Roxy don't really have genetic parents. They are made from themselves in the original universe. In the scratch universe, they probably have genetic parents of some sort.

This update has me confused; Did she say no out of reflex and then is reprimanding herself in the last panel, or does she genuinely mean no? The way she acts after she says no is suspicious what with the

Kind of a shitty theory but maybe Dirk hacked her messenger to make her say no, thus setting things up perfectly for him. He seems to be pulling a lot of strings.

She fucked up and said no to put off dealing with Jake knowing she likes him, that's what happens with crushes sometimes.

Considering that Jane and Roxy just had a conversation about Jane confessing to Jake, and Jane agreeing to go along with it, I'd say that the "no" was a brain fart of gigantic proportions.

Their biological parent probably. We know that a lot of things are congruent between the original and scratched universes. Bro = Dave's Dad. Bro raised Dave. Mom = Rose's mom. Mom raised Rose. So it's probably the same for the scratched universe. Dirk's dad raised Dirk. Roxy's mom raised Roxy.

Good question. Will we ever know? Probably not.
I was thinking about who the scratched kids' parents were. I think I came up with a good conclusion.

But Jade is Jake's grandmother, so either Jade is John's mother, or John's mother-in-law by that logic.

If Jade is John's mother, and Jade and John are siblings, then John is his own uncle.
WELCOME TO HOMESTUCK.
But we know this isn't true because John's biological parents are Jane and Jake. Jane being Jake's grandmother is probably just a mixup. Like how Jade thinks Grampa is actually her grandfather, when he is really her dad.
