Hey nice hoodie.
[sp]Thank you, I love you.[/sp]
Ask Gamzee is full of reaction images. On the topic of salad Probably late.
haha one of my coworkers asked about my gamzee shirt the other day and he asked what homestuck was so I sent him the link next day "ok, I tried to read it, but he's just like walking around his house? And the art's really awful. They don't even have arms." he's a big fan of anime like a really, really big fan of anime
See that's the problem with Homestuck. The entire first two acts are a gigantic snore-fest. Really puts off people from reading it. I know a guy that absolutely refuses to read Homestuck because "It's an over-bloated nightmare." I asked him how far he tried to read, and he evidently didn't even make it twenty pages in. Another beautiful quote from him: "I don't see how Hussie expects people to read those gigantic walls of text he writes." In reference to the chatlogs. Chatlogs that barely amount to a well-written paragraph each. I think, though, that he may at one point been a fan of Homestuck before his favorite character (which I have determined to be Eridan based entirely on the fact that this guy is a huge douche) got killed off because he also at one point said "I don't like how Hussie just does whatever he wants with the story." I often wonder why I still talk to this person. I did manage to get him to read Problem Sleuth, which he enjoyed. So that's something.

Isn't that kind of counter-productive, seeing as how most great stories are (gasp) shaped by the authors writing them?
I did manage to get him to read Problem Sleuth, which he enjoyed. So that's something.
Problem Sleuth and Homestuck are two very different stories in my opinion. Problem Sleuth had a very straightforward plot with little text to each page. It was easier to read and things started being funny right off the bat.
See that's the problem with Homestuck. The entire first two acts are a gigantic snore-fest. Really puts off people from reading it.
Everyone always says that but I loved the first two acts, it is kind of annoying.
Everyone always says that but I loved the first two acts, it is kind of annoying.
Me too actually, no one appreciates the banter.
Everyone always says that but I loved the first two acts, it is kind of annoying.
I like it when there is limit to what you can do but you can still achieve something that seems impossible. Sort of like Japanese games.
"I don't like how Hussie just does whatever he wants with the story."

I don’t like it whenever I get the sense that Homestuck is a sacred cow in the mind of a reader, and if I do something “wrong”, I’m kicking that cow. It doesn’t belong to you. The cow is mine, and you are enjoying its milk at my discretion.

Me too actually, no one appreciates the banter.
i enjoyed act 1 but nowhere as much as the rest of the acts. it doesn't help i was hyped for the action and shit and i just get a kid walking around his room
Everyone always says that but I loved the first two acts, it is kind of annoying.
Don't get me wrong, I like them too. The banter in them is great, but they do move at an absolute snail's pace. That can be very off-putting to a new reader expecting some sort of epic story.
Everyone always says that but I loved the first two acts, it is kind of annoying.
I only loved the first two Acts when I read Homestuck a second time. The first time people read Homestuck, they remember all the amazing people said about it, and just see a kid with no arms wandering around his house with weird machines or something.
I remember when I was going WTF all the time while reading the first 2 acts of homestuck, great days, great days indeed.

[editline]24th February 2012[/editline]
Everyone always says that but I loved the first two acts, it is kind of annoying.
Same here, when I got to the part everyone says is where it gets good, I stopped liking Homestuck as much for a while. It felt weird and dumb until I got used to it.
Thinking of printing out a load of small parts of a large image and pinning them up on my wall, similar to what that other guy did. I need a few good HS posters...
Can anyone suggest some good panels i can use this on, i can't really decide on any...
I've had more success starting people off with Problem Sleuth since it gets good quickly, then when they read that, tell them to stick with Homestuck.
I easily got my older brother to read homestuck, and he hasn't even read problem sleuth. He really likes it too. Not as devoted as me though. [sp]not yet at least[/sp] He even plans on getting a space zippy.

I'm not having a bunch of cartoon characters make out on my wall :P
I love this.
The days where I wake up and Hussie hasn't updated... it's just not the same man.
Does Andrew restock his shirts n' stuff each month or something? Because every time I check he's out of stock. EVERY TIME.
gotta be quick mothafucka
gotta be quick mothafucka
If you want a shirt like Karkat's, Terezi's or Sollux's you need blinding speed. And that's just trolls. Not to mention getting the size you need.
