I see where you're coming from, but I still should respect my parents for what they do for me. Also my dad has no faith in my artwork whatsoever, and my mom doesn't let me make textures/sprites and whatnot because that requires a computer, and that's a homework distraction.

That's not what I meant, you're not understanding it. If your dad doesn't have faith in your artwork then what does it matter, it's not his choice. Don't let other people discourage you.
