I like the idea of making random groups of icons into armies. I might try it.

Oh yes, and may I present to you, my take on the Strogg. I'm not sure if they've been done before, but I did them anyway. (Not free, as usual)
Includes the Guards (cannon fodder), Tactical (standard soldiers), Gunners (stronger soldiers), Beserkers (speedy melee users), Light Tanks (super soldiers), Heavy Hover Tanks (very strong floating support), Gladiators (about as strong as units can get, abit stronger than your average mech walker) and the Iron Maidens (hovering units often deployed from pods). There's also the Harvester mechanical 4-legged spider, which has legs made for impaling, missile launchers and hyperblasters.
I'd look them up on the Quake wikia if you haven't played Quake 4. I removed some of their abilities, like the Maiden's screeching and teleporting. I'm planning on adding the Teleporter Drone, Hornet and Ground Convoy, too.
