I'd post myself but I feel that it would be a bit too egocentric. So here's a picture of my dad: Now post a picture of a reflection or where a principal area of the picture is a reflection.

Post a photo of someone you hate.
Post a photo of someone you hate.
I'm just gunna take this challenge head on. Nothing 'clever' or cheesy like a picture of myself or something. (Had to dredge that one up from the darker depths of my flickr.) The next challenge is 'Astral Plane' - interpret it however you'd like, but try to have it loosely tied to spirits or universe-y stuff.

I'm so pleased with it - not as a photo but as what it represents. Well, I'm not a spiritual person, but the sun is always something that's just in the sky. I think, as photographers here we all look for its different characteristics and how they'll affect your photo. Considering how important it is to us as photograpgers (and to understand its affects on our photos), we [and I'm speak from personal experience] rarely think to stop and look at what it actually is. Seeing it like this, with sunspots on it suddenly makes it real for me. Not just a light in the sky. It's a planet that we're orbiting. And it's everything to us - it brings us not only light, but heat, food and everything that's beautiful in this world. Anyway, stoned rant over. I'm off to the pub. BUT I get what you're saying. And I agree. I know this goes totally off topic. But when I see the sun, or ESPECIALLY the moon, I think about it so hard because they make our world seem so UNworldy. So extraterrestrial. So odd. It's like the moon makes me feel so weird about what's out in space and how the moon is actually there, a giant ball floating and following us. It's so crazy to even picture it sometimes.

speaking of the moon etc. I've found that I'm appreciating the beauty of nature, the moon and sky in particular, since I bought my camera that sounds very gay, let's move on

New challenge: post a picture using on-body flash. THE CATCH: it must be ~artistic~
I love trying to imagine the sun or moon or planets or stars as they are in 3d space, and trying to imagine where I am on the curve of the earth [editline]19th September 2011[/editline] I dont know what you mean by ~artistic~, but this is using the on body flash DSC_0178_01 by JonahRD, on Flickr post a picture that's more dark than light
That is artistic because it's not just a snapshot, it's meant to look pretty. That's what I meant.
