Fucking agreed. It's almost 2 years since my ex dumped me and I've liked her on and off since then. I keep remembering that time and how she alone made that my favorite year. She recently told me that I'm more of a friend to her than her closest girl friend, too.
You'll never know the value of a memory until you get alzheimers or an amnesia inducing brain tumour
Money is just an abstraction of trade. We would still trade stuff without money, but we'd be more limited in our trading options (instead of trading $50 for a game, you could trade your cow) , so it would suck.
Makeup is a way of improving self-image. If people didn't worry about physical appearance, I guess we'd all be a little more grossed out by our true physical appearances.
Without a phone, we'd just have to shout a lot. Without worrying about the fashion aspect of the phone, we'd just have ugly machines with boring sounds (or lots of shouting if you really don't want one).
That's what would come of thee
Governments are so seemingly illogically constructed because, in order to attain governmental stability, strict systems must be implemented and there are major sacrifices to be made. Without a government in a region, the region itself becomes unstable. This is because men are corrupt, as you alluded to many times
You are taking it too literally! Looks past the surface, see what the meaning truly is!
I cannot tell you what it is because it's up to you to find it
The words stay the same, but the meanings differ from individual to individual

So the basic attitude is:
take these words, mash them up in your brain, and make them into some sort of thought that makes sense to you
Wouldn't it be better to just think of my own words that make even more sense to me
Here's an improvised haiku that makes more sense to me than OP ever will

think for your damn self

i'm feeling so wise that i'm going to make another profound haiku

The worst thing about being compassionate is being there for those who have nothing... in return, you receive nothing. I've lost count on how many times I've put myself out on the lines to help, I've been there, I've done that, I've had my share of depression, but to what extent? Why is it that no matter how much I help, how much I gain and contribute, I'm left to the sidelines, misjudged and mistreated. They take me for granted, and it's only when I'm gone they realized they had missed something special
I'm the friend that all the people with personal problems come to. When I try to talk about something in my life, they're suddenly too busy to show compassion. The world is a cold place, I'm 15 and I already know that. When kids come to me for help I stop what I'm doing to concentrate on them, because I wanna help.
In the words of Kid Rock, "When you grow up poor you grow up quick"
My ex just messaged me on Facebook looking for help.
Eh?
I adore your post, OP.

If someone does that to me, I just make the conversation really boring. By being a good conversationalist with someone who's trying to use you, you're asking for more abuse. your full attention should come at a price, and if it doesn't, then it doesn't & it's all your fault.
I hate when I'm talking to a girl I like and I run out of things to say. But then twenty minutes later I realized all the stuff that I should have said.
You know what fucking sucks sometimes? Is that we never really appreciate something till it's acutally gone. Whether it be a lover, or a possession, or anything really, we will almost always take it for granted. I'm trying to appreciate everything I have now. The other day I saw a homeless man walking back from I-95. You could tell he was walking for at least days. He had to be at least in his 50's or so. It literally broke my heart. What did I do? I bought that man some food. That's still a life, no matter what social status he may have (which, social statuses are fucked up in the first place). It just sucks you know? Possessions rule our lives. New laptop, new car, new anything really. We indulge ourselves, and for what? Temporary happiness?
Wow. Sorry for the rant, it's just the thread got me thinking.
This is why I treasure all of my possessions. I try to appreciate everything I have as much as possible, because someday I most likely won't have all the nice things I have today.

Also agreed, haha. Happens to me all the time.

you spent so much effort trying to make it sound poignant and poetic it just totally undervalued any point you were crying to make.

I think everyone should cry, one a month, year, hell even week. Crying just clears your mind and makes you feel better.
My 2 cents
But I tried and failed :frown:
Hey OP, thanks a dozen, your post really got my mind a buzzin'
I never really thought of it that way, gave me a whole new point of view on some things
It'll be three years this October that my dad has been dead. I am 15 (16 in July) and took him for granted. I miss him so much.
happens to me WAAYY too much...i kinda have a love/hate relationship with it
Was this just a list of old "wise" quotes?

Yeah you plow right through all the constrictions good presentation poses like a bulldozer. I'm surprised you even use proper capitalization and punctuation instead of just inanely vomiting your mind onto the paper.
Wait, I spoke too soon, I was wrong.
Whence cometh the words from above... and whence thy words reach human ears... We will listen. Listen to thy words spoken by the Creator... And whence neareth the end... You must forbide the words and continue forth... continue forth the awakening. And whence cometh the words from above... Man will answer... Neareth the end, and carry out thy dreams.
I agree with the title but not necessarily with the stuff in the op.
Some valid points, awful presentation.
OP should smoke a blunt and chill.

I will never be a memory.
Because being on the third page makes the picture useful with no other posts.
