Time to take over the world.
my dog is really sad now. our cat died yesterday, and the dog looks like she knows that he's not coming back.
i LOVE my dog. black lab/german shepherd, and she's awesome
I prefer cats, but I do like some dogs though.
I think your mistaken. Cats > Dogs.
Dogs can be used in warfare as Scouts (finding mines and traps), Trackers (finding hidden snipers and solders (even soldiers underwater)), and Sentries.
I'm only going to guess how that works.
C'mon boy, go ahead!
*Woof!*
*KA-BOOM*

hurf
Get out.
My neighbor had a dog with parvo that died about a year ago, well a few weeks ago they moved out, completely destroying their place too apparently, It cost 6 Grand to fix it up, and the people who were fixing it found a dead dog still in the house

Actually no, the dog sniffs out the wire from under the dirt.
When they are being trained they run electricity through the wire, so the dogs find the wire, then sit/bark near it but never touch it. They become scared of the wire, and get quite stressed sometimes (there could be wires ANYWHERE!!), so they have quite a short service life.
i like woofies and meowies :downs:
(for retards its DOGS AND CATS)
OMG! WTF is that!?!??!?!?

Everything is cute when its younger.
Good point, i was trying to compare the two without realizing i put a pug puppy.
I prefer cats. They smell better, they are quieter, better behaved, they don't follow you around all the time, they are low maintenance, they are cuter, they like being petted more than dogs, they eat less than dogs, they only make 1-2 sounds, whereas dogs make a huge assortment of annoying noises, they catch vermin, they don't need to be walked, they don't need to be put to bed, they don't eat dog crap/their own crap, etc.
Dogs take as much, or more work than children. (though they do cost less money)

Cool, I didn't realize this was a comparison thread.
Now out with you.

Dogs are da best.
I love dogs, but sadly I'm allergic to them. If I wasn't allergic to them I would definitely get a husky.
Until then, I'm fine with my 5 cats.
most dogs are excellent pets, but its those pathetic little ones that yap all the time that shame the name of dog. Chihuahua's and jack Russell's are only good as footballs or cricket balls.
its these dogs that need to be put down
Are you fucking serious? You seem to be forgetting the legend that is wishbone.

That dog was more successful than both of your parents.
First of all, this is not a thread at how cats suck, not cats allowed.
You may ask, Doom Dude, why are dogs so awesome. Well first of all they just are, but they are useful, very useful.
Hearing: The frequency range of dog hearing is approximately 40 Hz to 60,000 Hz, which means that dogs can detect sounds far beyond the upper limit of the human auditory spectrum. Eighteen or more muscles can tilt, rotate, raise, or lower a dog's ear. A dog can identify a sound's location much faster than a human can, as well as hear sounds at four times the distance.
Smell: The olfactory bulb in dogs is roughly forty times bigger than the olfactory bulb in humans, relative to total brain size, with 125 to 220 million smell-sensitive receptors. The bloodhound exceeds this standard with nearly 300 million receptors.Dogs can discriminate odors at concentrations nearly 100 million times lower than humans can.
Sorry to crap all over your dogs...
but i loathe dogs.
If they can hear 40Hz to 60,000Hz, they would want to cut their ears off! We can hear the ultrasonic sound of a CRT TV turn on, and sometimes hear the sound of flourescent lights.
So dogs would hear absolutely every ultrasonic electrical sound that TVs and lights and everything makes!
And dogs can smell heaps better than we can. big deal, this would mean that 40% of a dog's brain is devoted to smell! [leaving the other 40% to sex, and 17% to other function and 3% to intellect.]
dogs are dumb. clearly proven, they have the intelligence of a 4 year old AT BEST. [read it on a slashdot article]
They can remember about 300 words, and can count and add up to 10.
Clever when you think about it, but dumb if you look at the more intelligent things on this planet...
A deer is smarter than a dog.
and definitely monkeys and apes are also smarter...
So dogs are useful if well trained, otherwise thay are just eating, sleeping, shitting annoying meatbags.
On the plus, some breeds of dog are intelligent enough to actually count and add up to 20, and even simple multiplication [providing you can cram the formulae into the 300 word memory space]

Dogs are unique in the sense that they seem to be the only land animals capable of forming a true bond of love with a human being. It doesn't matter how stupid or smart they are, they grow up to love you, something that makes them completely unique.

My two dogs. I love them to death and consider them part of the family. They are loyal, loving, highly intelligent beyond any other animal I have ever dealt with, and they show emotion which is something I find pretty unique in dogs. They know when you feel bad and what they should do, they have their own emotions too and you'll see it if you get close to a dog for a long time.
Plus, there's nothing like having to big ol' balls of fur who love to sleep on top of you come those cold winter nights. No furryness or anything like that intended.
Heh, my old dog would cry or whatever when it found me lying down on the ground and licked my face, as if I was dead or hurt. That shit right there is why dogs are unique. They actually give a shit.
Lol my dog did that too when i passed out
Shiba Inu, best dogs ever.

The other night I was trying to get to sleep, this fucking cat comes down and starts meowing and jumping on the couch I was sleeping on, and on me, purring loud as shit. I was half asleep and therefore defenseless until the jack russel on my brother's bed chased it away.
my dog had red eye's creepy

I don't like dogs, but I've only had bad experiences with them.
That and every breed I've ever had I didn't like in the first place. Llasa Apsos are not smart and I had to babysit a Boxer that destroyed everything it touched.
I need a dog breed that I actually like (or a really cool mutt).
I've never seen a cool: Chihuahua, Llasa Apso, Boxer, Bull Mastiff (too massive and retarded), or Shih Tzu (spaz)
Cool ones I've seen: Malamute, Husky, Border Collie, Schipperke, Pomeranian, and Papillon.
By cool, I mean the dog personally.
My cat beats both of my dogs up. She smacks them upside the head whenever they come within smacking distance.
And no, I'm not joking. She literally bats their faces with her paws... not violently, it's more a half-assed, lazy smack.
Although occasionally if one of them jumps at her and frightens her she'll bring the claws out.
