yea so I made a movie for history class where we had to do a news cast about the French Revolution and my class loved it but my teacher yelled at me and my friends and scolded us for a continuous 10 minutes and told other teachers who walked into the room to get some books about how awful our movie was and then scolded us for another 5 minutes after class. and she said we are probably gonna get a 0 but we have to redo it tomorrow live in class and even with that I'm sure we are gonna get a 70 or something

i helped one of my friends with a school video project once. it was for his forensic science class. i made him this gmod movie and then he overdubbed the audio as he was watching it. needless to say he got a 100% and they showed it to all the other classes looking back i'm just glad he didn't get expelled lol [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTyMVesFnC8[/media]

i'm not sure exactly how i got into photography, i think it's just something that i've always been interested in (though not very actively till i started uni (except for the time when me and my friend were 10 and joined a photography club, went round the city one time taking photos for the whole day and realised at the end that the film wasn't winding on, so in reality we didn't take any photos at all))

Also, we organized a talk with [URL="http://humanplanet.com/timothyallen/"]Timothy Allen[/URL] earlier today and it went well, second time I've seen him talk and both times he was absolutely fascinating. I feel privileged to have met him personally. [editline]19th March 2014[/editline] I should have posted about it here for the FP photogs near Edinburgh, we even went to the pub after.

His FAQ is really well written.

i dont really know why i got in to photography i just thought it was cool and bought a dslr one day

I honestly bought my DSLR to get better photos of the food I cooked when I was really into cooking. Now I do have it im just too lazy to cook but got interested in photography in general lol.

Nearly all of my aunts had SLR's as fashion accessories that they would use to fuel their sisterly rivalries by 'out-doing' one another with their cameras and lenses... Plenty of opportunities to play with stuff as a kid. Think that's how I got hooked. It's shifted to phones now.
