I watched Place Beyond the Pines again recently, such a fuckin good movie like damn.
My mom wanted me to come to her mud run thing she did and take photos. Taking photos of moving people is really hard! And it's totally different from what I've been doing up to this point. Still going through the photos but I can tell some of the photos I took were hella out of focus but I did get shots of hot shirtless men running in mud tho ;^)

Nice one dude.
I should buy a printer.
does anyone else search for reflections in photos that show the photographer? this is a new hobby of mine

What are my hobbies
What are my hobbies
taking sneaky selfies in your photos for FlippR to find later
I've been looking at all my photos and I think I really like consumer film, more than professional film even. The last two rolls portra I shot were kinda disappointing color wise, imo. I really like kodak 200 and superia :v:
i thought the diff between consumer and pro film was that pro film has a neutral colour balance and stores well whereas consumer film can deviate a bit (but to see the diff you have to have basically lab-test shots side by side, and leave the consumer film to age)

i think ektar scans poorly until you edit it. the prints have a wonderful wow factor to them, much more than other films i've used. i do like kodak gold 200, but the more i use superia the less i like it.
the lenses also make a difference too, my contax colors are a lot better than my canon or minolta (more clarity and a bit more saturated blues imo)
I want a contax lens :(
so my room has been really dry and stuffy lately so I put on my humidifier and then I remembered all my camera gear so not knowing what to do with it I put it all in a drawer in my desk inside a trash bag that I tied shut with a few desiccants in there for safety

the 45mm is a sweet lens, if you ever see one in the $300 range i would say pick it up, gives a great look. otherwise save up for the insanely good zeiss 55mm f1.8 that sony offers.
i have a contax 35mm f2 that i hardly use because it sucks on my nex (sensor doesn't play well with the corners) and it doesn't work on my g1 :(

i think getting light is more important than no humidity, UV light kills fungal bacteria.

so basically storing lenses with caps to keep them clean is counter productive?
i only keep my humidifier on at night anyway so there is no sunlight to get them right now anyway

probably better than being in the open at night, but during the day sunlight is probably more important than no humidity. what i do is just throw some silica packets around my lenses as a precaution, but unless it's in a very musty damp gross place you'll be fine.

ffs flickr forced the new update and now when i click tags it shows tags from everyone, not just me
now spending time organizing my shots by which lens and film i used is basically worthless without a live link to my specific tags
blahhhhh
[editline]25th March 2014[/editline]
AND you can't right click to view different sizes what the fuck flickr
might be alright except the embed code is only in HTML !!!!!!!
Trapped at friend's house, tree and live wire is down!!

This is why I stopped organizing my stuff on Flickr, I just throw them in a monthly set and only give very basic tags to my film scans.
i hate the new flickr :( makes me sad
u'll get used to it.
I'm having some problems with the sharing function, other than that it's ok I guess

Attending a fashion catwalk tonight, sadly as I haven't sold my Sony A7 extras bundle, I only have a 50mm f1.8 on my 6D . Let's hope the press box at the end isn't TOO far away :P

I'll check that out, thanks
The tags stuff still irritates me, because other than my portfolio website I don't really have a place where my lens samples links can be easily reached. I was thinking about doing the same thing with all my film, but it seems like a waste of space there if I try out a lot of films.
I can't see any reason for the change, surely if you are clicking tags on someone's photos you want to see more of the tags by them? Even before you could change to see everyone's uploads once you clicked on the link, but now there is no option to look at one person's specific tags unless you manually type it into the URL which is pretty ridiculous!
