bye
that's absolutely ridiculous. like will i even be able to use my account still? I had a facebook login before [editline]26th March 2014[/editline] you can't even create a yahoo account unless you enter your cell number what the fuck yahoo
yahoo is working in cahoots with the nsa to get our phone numbers
if you sign up after you logged in with facebook you can get around the phone thing which is nice i guess, but still a hassle overall more annoyed about the tag thing and new photo preview. like last week flickr was perfect and now these changes !!! i'm normally okay with change but this is bothering me idk
bye
what the fuuck
i would use 500px but the layout fucking sucks. especially the uploader, it's so slow
this is sum horse shit
Well I can kind of understand that. I think it's to stop someone from being able to see your private images by guessing the url and embedding it (as if that'd fucking happen though)
I really like 500px, i get more of a reception on their than flickr
I don't understand 500px. I go to browse pictures and then after a while of scrolling it won't show me any more, and theres no way I can see to load more. Like I don't get through a lot of content before this happens
I never cared about 500px because it doesn't have groups, which is one of the best things about flickr imo. Also maybe I didn't look long enough but it seems to be focused on overcooked digital photography which doesn't interest me.
i used to really like 500px and was super impressed by their sorting/filtering heartbeat algo-thing but i realized that it's just like "wow nice pretty photo" and gearwanking, there's talent but it's much harder to find than something like flickr where everything is grouped and stuff and tumblr because of it's tree like sharing struct you can easily like go down a branch you like (but then you miss stuff outside your narrow branch, which is sad)
wait so, will i not be able to log into my flickr account anymore?!
You can, but you will need to make a yahoo account next time you use Facebook or google to login. There's a banner near the top that alerts you, and clicking on it will let you sign up for a yahoo account that you will now use to get to your existing Flickr Super annoying, but it was a pretty easy process.
tbh i just made a yahoo email exactly the same as my gmail acc and then told flickr to always remember my password, i wont really need to log in ever on my laptop. also now my flickr isn't linked to facebook i can use it during class hours at uni (they block facebook 9am-4pm)
i cant see a banner :(
i cant see a banner :(
what browser are you using? i think it was near the top black bar, and looked like the image that FlippR posted http://i.imgur.com/GfTBd2o.jpg
hmm, chrome? maybe i should try on safari or something [editline]27th March 2014[/editline] nope, no luck, maybe itll pop up at some point, dont want to not be able to log in
might just be cached on an old version, eventually it should pop up. either way you should still be able to login for a bit, mine said "this is the last time you'll be able to sign in with facebook!" but i did it a few times after that.
Ahh right okay! Thankyou x
flickr you piece of shit
What's a good camera for filming while skating? Something that's cheap, good, and reliable. I've a GoPro and my iPhone 5S.
a gopro with a fisheye
I already have one, but I'm talking about cameras like the Sony VX1000. Something that has a handle that I can hold, I'm thinking of a CamCaddie, but I need a good camera (besides GoPro/iPhone 5S) before I get a CamCaddie
lol i'm photographing yung lean tomorrow [editline]28th March 2014[/editline]
I already have one, but I'm talking about cameras like the Sony VX1000. I think it would be cool as fuck to own and use one of those old kodak DSLRs. The DCS 14n looks the most like an SLR in size but the older ones with the ridiculous grips look neat
-snip- Didn't know he was coming to Edinburgh, what the hell, I didn't know enough people cared.
Why is this dumb, lol.
I'd like to wish a happy birthday to our good mate Pickwickian You inspire everyone here, cheers to you :)
happy birthday pickwickian some 71 year old dude who was an editor for a newspaper for 40 years tried to tell me that lenses don't matter with modern cameras, something about density of sensors yadda yadda i nearly told him to go blow it out his ass
Happy Birthday, Pickiwickian!
