I took a picture of one of my projects in a makeshift light box at school. I'm not sure how, but some of the room's fluorescent light bled in, so the model fades faintly from warm to cool. Is there an easy fix for this kind of thing?
do you guys ever have dreams where you take photos, or look at photos you supposedly took? had one last night where i was looking at some glorious medium format slides, the places in them looked cool as hell and the tones were ~sick~ and the dream was really vivid, but then i woke up and it was upsetting because i did not really take those photos and those places were not real
Trying to decide how I should make a reel. Stuff I've been reading says that for an editor, a short, cut to the music, montage isn't the way to go.
The central library in manchester just opened last week and its a really nice place for photo's
Posted a few I got in the creative photography thread, dont wanna mash this page up.

I'd say honestly just make it black and white, fixes most white balance issues. Otherwise it's going to be a lot of difficult editing.

This does happen to me sometimes. Mostly I just have photo related dreams, like buying something for cheap on craigslist or all my photos on flickr getting a lot of attention. Last night I had a dream Bopie and I went to Tyler the Creator's house (I have no idea why) and then we stole the material for his new music off his laptop and put it on my camera memory card, good times.
bah, so sick of processing pictures.. losing all my creativity by sliding sliders up and down. Need photo break..
Shoot film

i prefer the original.
i'm not a fan of ektar's burnt reds and blues, just too artificial. i prefer matching them to the prints

i don't think i'm even gonna bother.
there's going to be a few photographers judging the photos, and if "they're super simple they're not going to spend very long looking at it".

Sounds like those few photographers are on their high horse. If you a relate a map or a car to the word journey then those teachers should help you to get better and take a good and interesting picture of a map or a car, not ignore your work because they see it as inferior.
Have you actually seen the portfolio of these photographers?? If not you should ask them next time you see them in person just to see their reaction. If they're making excuses or try advoid your request then they're a bunch of snobs and you shouldn't bother listening to their advice.

John Free telling how it is!
John Free is such a don, would love to go out and take photos with him for a day or two. He seems so interesting and engaging.

had a dream a while ago that i made a gun shaped case for my camera and shot people with it and got sick shots of the peoples' reactions until the police gunned me down but i survived and got some dank long exposure of their tracers flying at me

holy shit that was hella inspiring damn.
Our school was started by a dude who thought photography schools weren't good enough.
Our school is about helping you discover your niche, or what sort of photography you want to be doing.
It does this by helping try out everything, and giving you constructive criticism on it.
There are no grades.

speaking of photo teachers, my prof showed us his work, and he showed us a collection of photos he did where he took high detail photos of the ground, in many different places. He said he had is tripod always set up the same way, and he would go out and shoot six rolls, and he wouldn't go home until he shot six rolls. He did it for five years. Its hard for my mind to comprehend.
Hey new people post your photos at 800px on the longest side.
Thanks
Now that I'm going to the big city tomorrow, I have a growing anxiety that my a7 sucks in daylight. I can't sleep.
Trying out a few Brenizer shots in my free time today. So this is what it's like to own a 30mp camera...
