It has 12mp because at 16:9 it's got a direct 4k pixel readout, no line skipping or anything. Pretty crazy stuff honestly. If its got the XAVC-S codec it's going to be a crazy good filming camera. Zebras, focus peaking, FF video, use of any lens ever practically, XLR addon, the list goes on! [editline]6th April 2014[/editline] Doesn't have internal 4k recording though which is kind of lame

Anyone in the UK know of a good (cheap) place that sells and delivers film within a week. I have some funding from the European Union for a photographic project with a friend and I need to buy it today to get reimbursed (so speedy responses would be appreciated).
macodirect.de has a lot of film for a cheap price, but it's German
Mailed you on facebook ed, hope it helps
look on the ilford site, you could also buy their development paid envelopes and get that reimbursed too
I've tried looking for the ilford site, but can't find the development envelope thing. Can you link me?

I'll be shooting in colour unfortunately, but thanks!
any details on the project or is it a secret?
http://www.nordfoto.de/ Great prices on film there if bought in bigger quantity.
Just picked up my very first prints of a roll Portra 160 (shot with SLR, not disposable cam). I'm just gonna get all my portra rolls printed in the future because these prints are siiick
any details on the project or is it a secret?
It's not really a secret, but I'll keep most of the details to myself for the time being. It's not strictly a photographic project, although that will play a part. Planning on making a book, but will keep you guys informed as it comes to fruition. It will involve walking from Winchester to Canterbury following the Pilgrim's way. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pilgrims'_Way
seems cool looking forward to seeing the results
University is burning down. Bet it was Cueball with those hot studio flashes that you gotta handle with gloves. [editline]8th April 2014[/editline] I still haven't met cueball despite being on the same campus.
what uni?
Harvard.
ive been having real trouble getting my shots sharp. i thought i had gotten a lot of great stuff today but after importing most of my shots are blurry as fuck [editline]8th April 2014[/editline] maybe i should wear my contact lenses!!!
doesn't your camera have a dial on the viewfinder to compensate +/-??
im maxed out on compensation and it still isnt enough
Make sure the numbers in the viewfinder are sharp, don't try and make the actual scene sharp (if the lens is out of focus you can't make it in focus via the diopter)
try and take good photos that arent sharp

In addition we are aware that a number of class tests, vivas and presentations were not able to take place today. Having reviewed the situation, we have agreed a blanket extension will apply for Merchiston-based students (Faculty of Engineering, Computing & Creative Industries) only for all course works due in this week until 12 noon on Tuesday 15 April. Please note the university is closed on Monday the 14 April.
been saved by that clause, will never learn to work to deadlines will i? i don't know what you look like that makes it difficult. also, i'm only in merchiston tuesday and thursday mornings, the rest i'm in the screen academy. i always have a red postman bag on me.
The ultimate photo editing challenge How many photos can you edit while listening to the extended version of I Heard it Through the Grapvine by Creedence Clearwater Revival
rumor has it that the darkroom legend Pablo Inirio could get a photo noted, edited and printed within 3 minutes
Dang that's like one listen of Proud Mary
i had a friend of a friend who met him in new york on a magnum tour, apparently he got a signed print of the darkroom notes used by him (and that's where he heard the legend that he could get one done in under 3) - he came back from the tip literally hopping with excitement that he got to meet such a large figure in the world of professional photography, and told me the aforementioned legend i guess you could say, i heard it on the grapevine
I held a Nikon F2 w/ Motordrive today. It felt so damn good in the hands
i'd rather take a longer time to edit personally, 3 minutes is a hella rush
