some crazy shit is going down two blocks from me http://ktla.com/2014/04/17/authorities-pursuing-vehicle-on-surface-streets-in-boyle-heights/#axzz2zAXcmxjP fool apparently kidnapped someone then fled the police and ditched his car in a downtown garage, they're searching a bunch of buildings now. i count 7 helicopters its so loud
damn, thats crazy its insane when a police force goes all out on something, it shows how powerful major city law enforcement really is i feel you on the loud helicopters, whenever there's a fire in the valley where i live, they send out 3 cal fire choppers and a plane, my house vibrates with the low frequency sound of the helicopter blades, and it makes everything else seem so quiet its what i imagine being abducted by aliens is like, very close encounters of the 3rd kind

is it like an actual job to just take pictures of air traffic at an airport? i see flickr accounts that have a lot of/entirely pictures of just planes (or helicopters) taking off/landing or taxiing at airports and dont get if its like a job that they do for the manufacturers or owners to document their planes/helis or something or its just fun to the photographer. i dont see the appeal to taking pictures of slow moving planes against a gray tarmac background for several hours but i guess some people may.
some people also like looking at trains for long periods of time, so there's that

Planning to start using flickr. Want to upload all my holiday snapshits though and keep 99% of them private. Is that even a thing?
yeah you can make stuff either 100% private (but still post an [img] with the jpeg link directly) or make it accessible to certain people in your flickr contacts

Hey I was thinking of applying for a job just like that. But I'd have to drive around SD a lot and my car eats gas.

I need some advice on making prints, basically im going to Poland on the 29th to meet family and my mom wants to make some prints for my grandmother. She rather that we have them printed over in Warsaw since the prices for printing here are too high. Thing is, my computer isn't properly calibrated and im worried if the prints may end up looking awful. Even if i don't get the chance to fix them, will they at least not look like garbage?
Calibrate your monitor??
I would if the equipment wasn't so expensive, i blew all my money on my em5..
send off some test prints? tbh they will look fine
How much should I spend on a Nikon F3?
My best hope is that the studio will correct the jpgs i send em. Psyched to be in Europe after nearly a decade, although only for a week :>
