6D lives, putting it in an airtight box with some silica gel did the trick Would have had a bit of a problem if it didn't, got 7 bookings this week and the first one is in like 3 hours
you can do what I do. Just pop the camera in a clear breadbag, with a hole for the lens. Then tape the bag as tight as possible with duct-tape. Works like a charm, and you only need to dry the actual lens.
Just pop the camera in a clear breadbag
how oddly specific [editline]27th May 2014[/editline] white or whole grain??
how oddly specific [editline]27th May 2014[/editline] white or whole grain??
The ones you freeze your bread in. Clear, cuz then you can see the buttons and stuff
is it okay to put some bread in together with the camera, for good measure
attach a bottle of vodka to ur camera so you can have a pov shot of you missing their mouths with it

Where's your bar Zach, my friends are in El Paso and I want them to say hi
my mid 2010 macbook pro 13" is on its last legs the battery needs to be serviced (got it replaced like a bit over a year ago I think) and since im out of warranty its gonna cost $130 wifi no worky the hinge is kinda broken, probably after years of me picking it up by the screen (my fault entirely) but it costs $800 to fix, so im not doing it and to top it all off, due to the stupid under the hood design of OSX mavericks, i constantly have 95-99% of my ram taken up even when just browsing the web and listening to music
Where's your bar Zach, my friends are in El Paso and I want them to say hi
10710 Gateway N Blvd B) it's located in the Northeast, btw. not sure where you friends are going to be staying, but if it's the East/West side, it's gonna be quite the drive out.
fingers crossed for you, i'm sure they will turn out to be fine (i'm a bit melodramatic), and if not they will likely reprint for you.
Reportin' back on this. I ditched half of the prints because of bad colours/loss of shadow details/random grainy mess. Hoping to scan these soon and work them myself.
It's prom week here and I have to wait an extra day for my film to get developed. *sigh*
SlipQ i am down to tinychat tonight at like 9pm onwards GMT? :)
i work tonight, brotha :(
Reportin' back on this. I ditched half of the prints because of bad colours/loss of shadow details/random grainy mess. Scan as TIF and then do some curve pulling in Lightroom and you should be alright
can't you also project them onto your cameras sensor?
can't you also project them onto your cameras sensor?
Depends on what your projector is like, usually they aren't optimized for close focus so the image quality will degrade. My projector lens is eh and I would trust my scanner to be much better
better to adjust the curves while scanning i would think
I had to do color correction in scan and in Lightroom. They were quite the mess

I "scanned" in my slide film using the starbucks cup method.
Can you post what one looks like without any corrections? I'm pretty curious.
I can in a week or so when I get back to my house, will definitely post though. If I don't by next Friday just remind me and I will post for sure. Just lacking the files right now
ah ok, I remember you can get macro bellows that are designed for copying slides which you could use to copy the slide onto the digital sensor to scan it [editline]28th May 2014[/editline] they're like 50-60£ though, so not that cheap
I had some slide bellows before, but without a quality focusing rail it was quite difficult and I just sold it off. I've tried various methods of scanning using various holders and macro lenses and I've found scanning to be the most reliable for good results and by far the most convenient. Getting negatives or positives perfectly level with a camera sensor is super tough.
not long until i'm chillin in london
