Ugh...took a really neat photo of my brother, but now the camera is saying the card is not formatted and I can't get the freaking photos off of the card. I've tried just formatting it, but it says the card is locked, which it isn't and the computer won't read it. UGH.
Is the switch on the side of the card set to locked?
Gonna be spending a long weekend in Wales with my land camera. Excited to shoot a pack.
Driving up through the mountains to some islands to camp on for a week starting tomorrow morning. I have 2 liters of Scotch and a bag full of granola bars, I'm ready.
wow how rude
i found a kodak disposable camera in my friends moms car that was supposed to be developed by 02/2004 and it wasn't even opened so I was told to take it, shoot the 27exp and see how it turns out i cant turn the flash off though, i accidentally turned it on 7 exposures left
always use the flash when using a disposable

And we're not even a third world country! Plenty to shoot, wild night-life, beautiful women and we're in the EU!
i've been to sofia!
Howdy dowdy. A buddy who's a regular here told me you guys are a pretty resourceful bunch. So, I am considering getting a video camera for university (audiovisual arts major) before the term starts. I have been checking the internet and haven't found anything too convincing yet. Like most people, I prefer the most bang for the buck, since my budget is limited - 400euros (~$600). For example, Panasonic HC-V720. Any experienced opinions?
considered dslrs?
I have, though that's another area I need some expert advice in. DSLR or camcorder? I'm not too aware of the implications in difference. (I do have experience in handling DSLRs, btw.)
3905 images to edit by tomorrow morning help

I believe you, but it'd be nice to know. What I meant by "most bang for the buck" is versatility for an affordable price, dude. I'm painfully aware of what poor equipment can do to potential. I'm not asking what camera do I buy to be David Lynch lulz?, just for a guideline, since all the gear knowledge I have is photography based, not video. But thanks, I'll look into that as well.
higher bitrate, more image control ( ie shutter, aperture, iso), less noise, better lcd, more lens choice than 18x zoom, manual focus control etc [editline]1st June 2014[/editline] the form factor is a little awkward, but then you'll be using a tripod so it's okay
might be finally getting braces soon. for those here who have had them, how big of a pain in the ass are they?

What is your opinion on the Canon 35mm f/2.0 lens? Let's say, versus the 40mm pancake one.
Fair enough. What is your opinion on the Canon 35mm f/2.0 lens? Let's say, versus the 40mm pancake one.
it's a great lens, i use it almost exclusively on my 6D for video and photo.
Buy the sigma 35mm ART instead of the canon one. You'll save a lot of money
the sigma 35 is twice the price...?
the sigma 35 is twice the price...?
Weird, it's a bit more expensive here but not by a lot. And it's better than the 1.4 canon one
Weird, it's a bit more expensive here but not by a lot. And it's better than the 1.4 canon one
i'm talking about the non-IS one
might be finally getting braces soon. for those here who have had them, how big of a pain in the ass are they?
The first two days or so are hellish (I hope you like soft food) and every time you get them adjusted (once a month?) you get that same experience of a few days of sensitivity. They're 100% worth it and do come with some benefits (if you enjoy picking food out of your teeth you will basically find a second meal in your braces).
