I had my mouth full of metal when I was 16-17. Pain in the ass. Had braces up and down and those huge shock absorbers thingys. They always seemed to break.
heinous lies
actually i have an odd number of teeth in my upper jaw like tom cruise
Had em as a kid but a few teeth seem to have shifted back. Refuse to be subjected to that torture again though.
my bottom teeth are the only things that are kinda fucked up but I think it might be too late since I'm 20??? or maybe i just don't want the hassle of it. I could have gotten braces last year with insurance money. is it worth it still??
i don't think there's really an age limit on braces. one of the AP's at my high-school was like 35, and he had barely just gotten braces my senior year. my wisdom teeth shifted and fucked my front teeth on top, and a lot of my bottom teeth. i want that shit fixed quick.
Just got my braces off last summer, all it really fixed was my huge overbite. I got the option of wearing elastics to fasten the process, its more painful and ya gotta wear them everyday, but its worth it. Never wore them to sleep though, fuck doing that.
i never had to get braces but i got my wisdom teeth out at 15 glad to have gotten that over with. the worst part was the irritating stitches and for like 2-3 weeks after there are 2 massive canyons in the back of your mouth that catch food very easily.

i had braces for 4 years and then had all 4 wisdom teeth out right after. all in all, not worth it also they pulled out my 5th tooth in on my bottom jaw on both sides because the childrens teeth wouldn't come out naturally. On my left side, the adult tooth came in backwards (the tall side of the tooth faces my tongue) and on the other side, no tooth ever showed up, so I have a big old gap.
i think my older brother had braces for four years, and had to wear head-gear for like a year. my younger brother had braces for like two years. granted, they both had much more messed up teeth than i, so maybe i'll get away with like 10 months or something.
i was only supposed to have braces for 2 years, but i refused to wear rubber bands
idek what the point of those are, i just know my little brother left those fuckers everywhere
im pretty sure it corrects jaw position
so can a punch to the face B)))
Also get a permanent retainer after, it stops a lot of shifting and is much easier than a normal retainer
BRACES SUX
hello i am rob [editline]2nd June 2014[/editline] but NOT
my teeth are small but nothing i could get braces for sadly. though i've had veneers put in on a few teeth to fix that problem
Gonna try a self portrait with the Polaroid camera today. No clue if the timer still works on it though... >_>

I was just reading about Cartier-Bresson and how he would put a millimeter border of unexposed negative around the photo, to show that is wasn't cropped. I then remembered visiting the Photography thread (maybe 3-4 years ago), way before there was a subforum and how everyone's photos had a black border and there was a running joke that the thicker the border, the better the picture. Anyone remember that?
yep guilty
yep guilty
Do you mind showing some photos from back then, if you still keep them?
did some digging, circa 2009
i like what they do in galleries and stuff for some photos like making them small with a huge white or black border around them so you have to get up close to them to look at them
i like to think large white borders draws your eyes in from the corners of the image to the center rather than vice versa
