i think it depends, like the natgeofound theme thing with a dark colour framing the almost oily, jungle-y pictures working really well

It's really cool to go through these - you can see how much (or how little) has changed in 4-5 years.
jeez, the change in taste is immense and for the better (although, it'll always seem to be for the better, from where we are)

so many pics under-appreciated, so many over (i wonder how well you can gauge how people appreciated something from the ratings themselves, especially cos the old threads were in the normal cc section)

aw damn, i stayed at bengleys but i'm close to brighton so i'll see you lot soon
I'm never giving my film to Fujifilm studios anymore - they butchered it!

Fuck this, I have maybe 10 salvageable shots out of 72 exposures. And even those are questionable. They ruined almost the entire roll of Ektar 100 during scanning. I think I'll get it rescanned somewhere... I hope it's the scanning, because FUCK.
I mean, look at this:

Looks like the scanning to me honestly
i kno that feel eh
its too bad LA is about $150 in gas, i don't mind the drive
even though I'm not part of the photography section, it was great to meet you all and one of the first things I'm doing when I get home is buying a film camera.
Got 5 exposures out of my first pack of FP-100c.
Wasted the other five because I'm a dumbfuck who can't tell the temperature and overdeveloped them.

FP100C has a auto stop on developing, so it doesn't matter when you peel apart the film at all. So it has to be something else what went wrong.

Thanks mate.
try using a disposable ash
Hey I'm back from camping.
Didn't take many pictures though, spent most of my time sitting on white sand beaches in the sun looking at sea life and the Cuillins.
try using a disposable ash
Not to promote the camera I have, but:

$15, and the photos will be a billion times better than those from a disposable.
I hitch-hiked across and island in a busted up land rover (with a door that doesn't close) with a nice doggy.

gah! i just took a bunch of photos for a bunch of my friends graduating and I really regret not using manual focus the whole time. Autofocus is so unreliable.

yeah that or autofocus freaks out and focuses on something else. but in hindsight I should have used zone focusing or just have it centered. i dunno.
just got home, was great to hang out with everyone, you're all awesome
shame i didn't get to see some people as much (like laurence and marley); hopefully another time soon though!
