Back from comic con, the drive there was p gnarly, 20 hours of desert and mountains.
2 days without a camera.. resorted to making a camera out of carboard, gaffa tape and nail clippings and running around screaming GET YOUR GEAR OUT!!
Definitely works best when you're looking at a subject with large space between them and the backdrop

i've always wondered, is there a dedicated photo/media person on the team or is it a regular soldier person carrying a camera? how much are you allowed to use it, in like actual combat and stuff? do they discourage you from shooting?
Contemplating selling my a77 and 16-50mm 2.8 and buying an a99. I've got a 24-105mm 3.5-4.5 and 28-70mm 2.8 which should be able to supplement the lens for the most part (mostly the AF wouldn't be as good). Probably should get a job first, but I could afford it now.
Would be more useful than an a7, if less fun.

what the fuck, yahoo deactived my yahoo account that they made me sign up for to continue using flickr. apparently it wasn't active?

Dump it all on tumblr then get a custom domain.
contemplating that. flickr is cool and all but yahoo makes it a pain to use sometimes (i can still sign in to flickr with my previous gmail login for now)

i had a yahoo email before flickr, and a gmail account before youtube, so ive never had any internet merger issues.
