my flickr finally changed to the new photo viewer, actually quite like it; on the full page one it always felt like the photo was maybe a bit too big, and going from a landscape one that fit on the screen properly to a portrait one just seemed awkward
got some more photo storage

When did Terabyte hard drives become so cheap? I remember getting my 149GB for about the same price.

UK electronics tax :v:.
i got a 1tb spinpoint in 2010 for 50 quid, they haven't been that expensive for ages
there was a point where they went up a bit because of flooding but yea
damn, I probably missed out on a good deal today. buuuut I finally have response from someone selling OM to EF adapter rings for a tenner.
how much did that run you? mass storage is so cheap these days
Was £175 for the both of them, from amazon
yeah if there are colour runs/paint throwing put a filter you don't mind having destroyed on and maybe bag up the rest of the camera
yeah but have you seen those lens rentals pics? the dust got behind the 2nd element of a "sealed" lens
slap on a cheap 2nd hand kit lens, bag your camera up and seal it with tape around the mount.
or just get a disposable camera
especially don't do what i did today which was drop it from 1.5m onto pavement cos i hadn't done the strap up properly
especially don't do what i did today which was drop it from 1.5m onto pavement cos i hadn't done the strap up properly
yet another piece of evidence supporting the fact that straps are bad
shooting strapless is great when you wanna force yourself to shoot because you have to carry your camera in hand
shooting London Pride parade on saturday, can't wait! any tips ?
Im still waiting for Brighton's pride parade :v:
gonna pick up that OM to EF adapter later today. Plus I dodged a fine today, was enjoying an alcoholic beverage downtown in Utrecht which aparantly is not allowed. Never had any trouble before with alcoholic beverages downtown before even when drinking infront of the police.

50mm f/1.8 if you have a canon
35mm f/1.8 if you have a nikon (it's cheaper than their 50mm!)
doesn't Pentax have any plastic fantastic lenzes?
This one?
http://www.us.ricoh-imaging.com/camera-lenses/smc_PENTAX_FA_50mm_F1.4
Pentax smc DA 50mm f/1.8
1.4 isn't that useful unless you have a specific purpose for it. you're going to want to stop down for sharpness anyways
Anyone know where this might of been taken?

I know it's a long shot but this thing has been eating away at me ever since I found it next to a motorway 1 1/2 years ago.
I'm playing windwakerhd and even the pictobox dude tells you to use wides and get closer
I'm playing windwakerhd and even the pictobox dude tells you to use wides and get closer
Even Ken Rockwell tells you to use wides and get closer
Big, long, telephoto lenses are not great, even though they impress beginners.
Every camera maker: Nikon, Canon, Minolta, Pentax, Zeiss, Leica, the Russians and more, all make big telephotos. So what? Photography is about getting close. Long lenses are for photographers who lack the skills to get close.
Great animal photographers know how to get right up to wild animals; they don't need 400mm lenses. Great sports photographers get themselves invited to the athlete's home or out onto the field; they don't get stuck in a press box a mile away.
Jamming a telescope onto your camera doesn't make it a great lens, and having to shoot from that far away not only makes for uninvolving photos, the intervening air, air currents, heat waves, haze and etc. all add up to weak images. Any amateur astronomer has bigger, longer optics to attach to their cameras than anything made by camera companies.
Wide lenses have never been for "getting it all in." Wide lenses have always been about letting us get closer and creating images with extraordinary power and impact. Ultra-ultra wides are for expanding perspective and expanding depth. Ultra-ultra wides are for creating images that grab the viewer and drag him into the middle of whatever it is that you're photographing. This is so critical that I have an entire article on How to Use Ultrawide Lenses.
Friend lent me some studio supplies. So, budget studio=set up. :)

I like taking my camera with me on dog walks, even though I don't have much interest in shooting nature.

I like taking my camera with me everywhere
[editline]30th June 2014[/editline]
On that topic, I went to a massive DnB festival yesterday and didn't bring my camera with me because I only had ISO 25 film and no time to buy something better. I don't think I've regretted something more than that.
That's why I've got multiple bodies. Different film speeds in each
docu time
